I've been going here since I moved to NYC in 2016. Dr. Dong is very knowledgeable, cheerful, and is great at explaining both my prescription and my eyes' condition. He helped me choose new contacts and a daily care regimen to better cope with dry/irritated eyes from dry NYC apartments. He is also just a fantastic guy who takes a genuine interest in each of his patients (we've shared many fun conversations about our mutual love of cars!). His staff are incredibly friendly and do a great job of explaining insurance/billing info (they're also EXTREMELY patient as I take forever to decide on a new pair of eyeglasses!). Always a fantastic experience, definitely recommend!

Dr. Dong was so friendly and helpful. I was visiting from out of town and needed some contacts. I called all around town and only he was willing to help me! If I lived in New York he would definitely be my optometrist. It’s a small office and it shows he really cares about people and patients. Highly recommend!

Westside vision is great! Dr. Dong is pleasant and professional. He always explained to me in details about my eye conditions and vision updates. His staff also are very friendly. They help me pick the best frames and take time to make adjustments to all my glasses.

Dr. Dong was very helpful and kind in giving me an eye exam and finding contacts that fit exactly what I was looking for. The front desk ladies were also very kind and patient with me. Promptly called me as soon as my contacts arrived. All in all a great experience!

I'll be honest. When I saw the high scores on google I was very skeptical. "No way a glasses store can have this high of a rating, psh, how good can it be?" So I booked an appointment. And I really gotta say guys, Dr Dong is the nicest doctor I've ever met, actually he probably ranks in the top 5 in the "Nicest human beings I've ever met in my life" category. You think I'm exaggerating? Go see for yourself.

Anyway, being nice is no good if the doctor is no good, but this one is nice AND good. He is so knowledgeable and thoroughly explains everything he's seeing and the potential issues/causes associated with the symptoms. For the whole appointment, I kept wondering why I didn't go to him him sooner. You see, my previous optometrists were kind of just....alright. They would test my eyes and send me away, and it was very routine. I thought all optometrists are like that, until I met Dr Dong. But enough of my rambling, you should just book an appointment with him. You won't regret it, promise.
