Services and Operations

The core function of this distribution center is to manage the flow of merchandise. It handles the intake of shipments, meticulously sorts them based on destination, and prepares them for delivery to Walmart stores. The operation is highly structured and relies on advanced technology for tracking and optimization. A key aspect highlighted by customer experiences is the use of dedicated lanes for oversized trucks (OTR), with two lanes specifically designed to expedite loading and unloading. The center utilizes a ‘first-in, first-out’ inventory system, ensuring that products are shipped in a timely manner. They employ a ‘drop trailer and park’ system, where drivers can drop their trailers and await notification when their load is ready to be dispatched. The process appears to be heavily reliant on communication and coordination between drivers and the distribution center staff.

Operational Considerations – A Driver’s Perspective

Based on customer feedback, the unloading process can be lengthy, particularly for shipments that involve floor loads – meaning items are stacked directly on the floor of the trailer. These types of loads typically require more time to unload compared to those on pallets. Drivers often report a wait time of several hours, with the process beginning with a check of their seal and assignment to a designated dock door. Regular communication through phone calls is a critical part of the process, ensuring drivers are kept informed of any delays or changes to their schedule. The average opinion of 3.9/5 reflects a mixed experience, with many drivers appreciating the dedicated lanes and efficient check-in process, while acknowledging the potential for significant wait times.

Arrived here at 9:50 am for 10:00am appointment. Easy check in. 2 right lanes for otr drivers. They check your seal and assign you to DD. Because my load wasn't on pallets I was told it'll be a minimum of 4 hrs to get unloaded.
I left at 4:50 pm. They call you and return to office. Just be mindful of what you have on trailer as it will determine your wait time.

If there were a ZERO star, they would receive it.

My husband is a long-hauler. He always makes sure his load is early to on time.

His appointment delivery time was 19:00 on July 21st. He dropped the trailer off at 18:00 on July 21st. He simply asked what time they would be done, the guy shrugged his shoulders and said I have no clue, whenever they get done.

Since there is NO overnight parking, and there's NO close parking available, he had to drive 20 minutes to get parking. (which isn't bad).

It wasn't till 00:45 on July 22nd. They called and told him the trailer was ready.

It's been 9 days, and they still haven't done a damn thing with the paperwork. So he is still yet to be paid.

What a slump of a place.

So let me get this straight. I have a single product load. You can’t even give me a rough estimate of how long my unload will be. You just say 2hrs minimum and throw your arms up shrugging. And if I do the Pull and Email method it takes you 3-5 business days to process my paperwork. So basically I’m stuck sitting here for your undetermined amount of time or I can’t get paid for a week. Do better.

Great place to deliver. In and out fast, cookie cutter other than tons of overnight parking outside gate on dirt strip. Break room and vending onsite.
