I have been working with Total Family Solutions for 8 years! They accommodate you according to your needs. Very helpful and wonderful therapists and psychiatrist! I was able to learn great coping skills and improve my mental illness by a lot thanks to Lisa Sanders! Also was able to regulate it with the amazing help of the psychiatrist Dr. Mathias. They are there for you at any time of the day and night, specially when your mental health gets a hold of you. I highly recommend this place.

I have been taking my boys here for sometime now. The service has always been great. They have always worked with what the boys are struggling with. They make great suggestions on how to continue helping the boys while they are home. It's always calming and clean. They work wonderfully with both mine and the boys schedule. I would definitely recommend this place for other parents as well.

TFS has been a huge instrument with helping me cope with my depression and anxiety. (Along with prayer of course). TFS is safe place and judgment free. My therapist is Lisa Sanders, who happens to be Absolutely Amazing! She listens and provides adequate advice and coping skills. When I first started I was barely getting out of the bed… and now I’m dating, working, traveling, helping my family more often and the list goes on. I don’t want my sessions to EVER END! Lol
Thanks TFS for helping put a smile on my face again. Therapy is essential in today’s world. I highly recommend TFS… you won’t regret it!

I currently receive counseling here from Raelyn. I have had a great experience with her and felt she really listened to what I brought up and offered helpful solutions and is just really personable. While she was on maternity leave, I briefly met with Shelly who was also really great and personable as well. The building has suffered some lighting and air conditioning. However, the staff has also been really great and are not rude at all. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is considering. The negative reviews written do not at all measure my time here at all.

2022 update: I have now seen several therapists here including interns; all have been incredibly professional, empathetic, caring, and helpful. Out of all the therapists I’ve seen in my lifetime (which is a lot LOL 😂) these have been my favourite and I have been the most productive in healing and progress! They have accommodated my many health issues as well with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, and immediately switched me to telehealth via video chat or phone call. I have also appreciated the ongoing cooperation with coordinating and sending paperwork to other medical professionals of mine; everything was sent safely and securely and accurately. I also appreciate they were understanding of my medication allergies and issues re: my medical conditions, and I did not feel pressure to take psychiatric medication that made me uncomfortable. They listens to my concerns and advocated for me to find my best option (and we have.) Thank you for that!

Office staff is very kind and helpful; whenever I have called to make, change, or cancel an appointment they are always attentive and professional. Initial new patient paperwork is e-mailed to you and filled out online so you have less to do in person.

I am an adult patient at this office so I cannot personally attest to care for youth patients, but the doctors here seem very friendly and warm towards any kids I've seen come and go while waiting.

My initial intake visit was with my therapist and a social worker intern (my permission and consent was asked and required in order to have the intern present! therapist was quite clear that I could refuse if uncomfortable!) The initial visit was a personal history of personal life, physical illness and mental wellness/illness symptoms, etc. I felt comfortable from the first visit and thought the intake evaluation was thorough and fair.

The therapist that I see here is very flexible and accommodating, kind, empathetic, and friendly. When my therapist was out of the office for illness or personal matters, I found the office to be very communicative. During any times that my therapist was unavailable to see me or had to cancel, a member of the office staff called and gave me a mental health check-in call. I was also offered an option to see any other therapist that would be available for me if I had any personal emergencies or felt that I couldn't miss a session. I appreciated this extra step for my well being and care plan. My therapist has 3 month evaluation check-ins for me as well, where we go through my management and treatment plans to make sure I'm achieving goals or what needs to be adjusted.

Having been through several therapists and group practices in my lifetime, I can say I have been most satisfied and comfortable here. I appreciate the extra steps and level of care. There is always clear communication, appointment reminders by e-mail/text/phone calls, and I've never had my privacy violated or felt disrespected whatsoever.

Pulling into the plaza where the Avenel office is located can be a bit confusing -- if you're coming from the St George side of the plaza you'll want to look for the "PEACH TREE PLAZA" sign and the little blue sign for a drive way that says "PEACH TREE VILLAGE" (or something like that) if you miss the GIANT peach tree plaza signs lol. It'll be on the left side as you pull in to the parking lot which is one way from the front entrance. (Watch out for some senior citizens who don't seem to notice that parking lot directional sign of ONE WAY lol!)
