Since the last time I visited here, there are now very discreet ‘permit parking’ signs. They do not even resemble actual city ‘permit parking’ signs that are seen all over in other cities. They have some parking limit signs with hours that do resemble ones you see in other cities, but they face out and not towards the driver. They also trap you. They wait for you to park and give you a ticket almost immediately. I would have never seen this sign walking on the sidewalk. It was about four cars ahead of me. On this day there was a small street fair. Most shops were closing. I spent 22 minutes in this town and received a $50 ticket. The one item I did buy from a store I immediately returned after I got this ticket. Will not be coming back. See how the sign faces out instead of towards the driver.

They should focus on cleaning up the city government and police department. They won't tell you about the police brutality, planting evidence, staging crime scenes, or the for-profit parking ticket scam.
