Therapy Brands destroyed THERANEST. I was a customer of theranest since 2014 and I FINALLY am finished using them for anything besides an archiving service ($103/year). Switched to SImple practice in January 2025 and have found my stress level has gone down dramatically. Contract traps, lies, incompetence, and increasingly unjustified costs. I wish I could be completely done but they make it so incredibly hard to gather all attached documents from files. Alas, I will have to do this one client at a time (over 600 clients with individual records, not just notes, but the clinical documents, letters, etc.). Absolutely awful, untrained, and deceptive customer service.

As an entrepreneur it is imperative to have systems that function properly. I have reached out to the tech department for over two months at Theranest for assistance with resolving an error with one of my forms. This issue still has not been resolved. I have requested to speak with a supervisor and no one has reached out. I am out of compliance with state guidelines due to this error. Choosing this company as my EHR for behavioral health has proven to be a horrible decision. They are non-responsive to email and will not allow you to speak with the tech department on the phone.

I’ve had a good experience with therapy brands so I’m confused with the bad reviews. Their price is perfect for my small buisness. I’ve always had a quick response from tech and they have helped me navigate the system. I did white glove training with Laurie and RCM management transition with Megan. I’m getting a handle with using the software and have not had any declines that were not resolved and have not happened again. I use Webaba and catalyst integration. Catalyst also has an extensive target list which can be very helpful. I also had catalyst build out a custom template for report writing which helps generate the collected data to an easy to read document for insurance. I’ve been very satisfied.

This company needs to be investigated for their unethical and illegal practices. They sell you a false service by saying you can do your own billing however they will sabotage all your billing/claims, when you ask questions they will give you the run around and lie to you on how to fix something wasting even more of your time. The support staff don’t seem to know how to even use their platform, resulting in even more confusion and frustration. Then require you to create support tickets for any small task such as deleting a payment, then they will not respond for days/weeks & then basically pressure you into paying more money to sign up to use their billing service. Steer clear of Therapy Brands products especially Procentive and BillCare! Worst EHR company ever!

I agree with all the other comments about Therapy Brands, they are unethical and bill illegally with respect to state laws for medicaid billing. They are unresponsive, farm work out to off shore companies in India (Omega team) that makes terrible mistakes and the states side team does not take responsibility. During COVID, we needed claims with medical records to be sent and they ignored the request citing that they are working from home and don’t have the ability to access records.

Ever since this company took over bill care, they almost put me out of business. They have no idea how to conduct billing services. DO NOT allow them to do your billing. Procentive EMR is good but Therapy Brands has no idea about SUD/Medical billing. If you want to stay in business do not use them. I have been trying to terminate my contract for a 3 months. And they promised to clean up my billing and have yet to deliver.

Beware of working with this company and any company that this company owns! We work with Procentive, and have since its beginning. Since Therapy Brands purchased them things have dramatically changed. Consistent system outages, features not working, lack of response or help, people reaching out to sell additional services when the services we're using aren't always working, and hindering the success and productivity of our company. Do your research before you choose to work with any Therapy Brands products, companies, or services!!! You will not have a good experience!

Please be very cautious dealing with this organization. They seem to have plenty of staff to convince you to sign on with them, then it seems there is no one around when you have to call them to fix a never-ending string of errors that they themselves caused. If anyone reading this is an attorney who specializes in this area please reach out. This organization has cost me so much time, money and stress.
