We had a wonderful experience from start to finish at The Modern 800 thanks to Shaun, Laura and Joe! During the initial tour, Laura made a lot of time to identify and show us units that fit our needs and was incredibly knowledgeable about the building and the neighbourhood. She made time during the tour and after to answer all our questions and making us feel confident about our decision. The leasing process with Laura and Joe was smooth, with clear and proactive communication every step of the way.

Laura also made sure everything was ready for our arrival with a very resourceful welcome packet and a starter kit for the apartment (this made things so easy for our first few days in the apartment). Throughout our stay, Laura, Joe and Shaun remained responsive and helpful, making living in the building a great experience!

When it was time to move out, Shaun was really accommodating of our unique circumstances and made what can often be a stressful experience feel hassle-free and smooth. We were touched by the graciousness with which he treated the situation. We truly appreciate the full team's warmth and dedication to residents.

We highly recommend The Modern 800 for anyone looking for an exceptionally well-managed, welcoming place to live - all thanks to Shaun, Laura and Joe!

Amazing management! They really care about their tenants and I couldn't be more happy about how we were treated while living there. All the staffs were so friendly and helpful! The apartment was in impeccable condition when we moved in and whenever we had issues, they came and fixed them right away. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about moving here.

Joe at the 800 leasing office is amazing! After what began as a misunderstanding about parking and access issues, I want to thank you Joe particularly! Initially we were frustrated and thought it would be a difficult conversation about an issue, but Joe completely turned things around! During our conversation, he listened patiently to our concerns, always responded with understanding, and took time to explain the policies and always ensured we felt comfortable. Joe solved our problems and concerns soon after the conversation, and I can feel that Joe and the rest of the team truly care about maintaining a positive and safe living environment for all the residents here.

I also want to mention that Joe was very very helpful during my entire leasing process. I was not in the US at the time I leased this apartment, and Joe made what could be a stressful experience much smoother! Thank you Joe for being professional, caring and responsible for this community and residents here.

This review is long overdue. I lived at the Modern 800 from 2021-2024. Sadly, I had to move out of state and that was the reason our family left the Modern. From the moment I moved in until I moved out, the Modern was a dream to live in. I had seen several apartment complexes in the area and the Modern surpassed them all by quality, luxury and warmth. I lived on both the South and North facing sides as I moved once within the building during my time there. The south side definitely got more sun, but had the most stunning views of the sunset. The north side had a beautiful view of the GW bridge and beyond. I loved the floor to ceiling windows. The dishwasher was so quiet, so you forget that it's running. Keep in mind that because the drier is electric, you need to leave the door to the hamper area open, or else, your clothes won't dry well. The apartments are well-insulated, I didn't need to bump up the heat much during the winters. The walls were thick, so you hardly heard your neighbors. The property was excellently maintained by the cleaning crew at the Modern who were always pleasant and nice whenever we saw them. The gym was fantastic and again, clean and well-maintained. I loved the pilates reformer there. The fifth floor amenities are excellent. I've used the sauna, massage room, the massage chair rooms and the outside. The outside; however, was being overrun with the spotted lantern flies in the summer months, sadly. The cheerful and welcoming front desk and package room guys went out of their way to help. The package room guys -Chris and Matteo were so sweet and would bring my packages up when I was pregnant. Really sweet guys. There were issues with some of the tenants leaving their trash in the trash room (like food on the floors), or tenants smoking marijuana/cigarettes that impacted multiple tenants' apartments, but the leasing office took measures to take care of and resolve them as much as possible. Speaking of the leasing office, I want to thank Karen, Shawn and Joe for their help, professionalism, kindness and friendship over the years. They are truly the A team that makes the Modern run so smoothly. They took any of our concerns seriously and acted with urgency. I miss them very much. When anyone asks me where to live in Fort Lee, I always point them to the Modern first. Its location is so convenient for that area as well. I walked to my pilates classes and restaurants. I have made several friends at the Modern as most of the tenants are really nice and classy. I largely attributed my being happy in Fort Lee to the Modern. Thank you so much!

We lived in the modern for almost two years and it has definitely been one of the best experiences. So many reasons to point it out; 1. You can’t compare the view to any other building around the area. We lived in the corner of the 46th floor and the sunrises and sunsets are priceless. They might be the best ones that I’ve ever seen on my life.
2. The amenities are always clean and a fun place to hang out. My baby loved the play room.
3. The staff has always been helpful and very polite. Only good things to say about Michele, Mathew, Francisco, Dennys. The new staff on the front desk and the rest of the people take such a great care of the building. They saw my baby coming home and now leaving at 18 months.
The only reason we are moving out is because we bought a house, and we are growing our family. I’m definitely gonna miss this place and without doubt the experiences and the amazing memories through these years!

My husband and I moved to The Modern from Hoboken this weekend and we are so happy we made the move. The building and views are so beautiful. The staff is fantastic. The office team was so helpful and kind, and the concierge team is amazing. They instantly made us feel right at home. We even had a delivery driver send our groceries to the wrong apartment and Anthony at the front desk went floor by floor to track it down for us. We love The Modern!

We have been long term residents of both towers in The Modern, NJ. After almost 9 years we are moving into a new home. We will miss ALL the staff who have been so kind and caring to us all these years. The building manager, Barbara Sullivan has been especially kind and patient to us and really, all the residents of the building. She was always available with any concern we had. Living in a large building like The Modern will always have its share of issues, but everything was always addressed respectfully and politely. The apartments are nicely appointed and actually very quiet for an area that is very busy. I recommend living here.
