Ted of All Trades installed our kitchen exhaust hood for us. Overall the work done was very friendly, professional and right on schedule. The performance of the hood is great. The reason for my review comes from the final 5% of work on the install; the transition piece from the stainless steel chimney to the ceiling. We were not consulted that the stainless steel would not be run flush to the ceiling, nor of the transition of thick, natural pine which did not match any wood elements in our ceiling, this was already put into place before we had any sign off on the design. We were told when they left that they would brainstorm a solution and get back to us; wanting to ensure our full satisfaction. Unfortunately, we were never contacted regarding a solution that met our satisfaction. We had discussed with Ted swapping out the thick pine with a thinner wood, stained to match the structural beams of our ceiling. We paid our invoice in full without resolving this issue. A month later , we have gone ahead and redone the transition piece ourselves to our satisfaction. Attaching photos of the hood install as 'closed-out' by Ted of All Trades and our personal handiwork. For this (hopefully) anomaly of customer satisfaction we would not feel comfortable working with them again.

Ted came to do a bathroom remodel and he was amazing!! His work is high quality but also fast, and he's extremely experienced. He was excellent at communication and very reliable. He was careful to not let my cats out while he worked which I greatly appreciated. He helped me understand pros and cons of different decisions I had to make. I ended up with a bathroom I LOVE, thank you Ted and Megan!
