I am astonished at the decline of this agency. Five years ago, they were an amazing company to work with. Now, they are unprofessional and unreliable.
I loved working with them so much that I spoke with several principals about how much Scoot cares about their subs and their schools. These principals dropped the other companies they worked with and worked with Scoot exclusively.
Now five years later, I call them to reactivate my availability and I am told my agent will call me if necessary. They refused to transfer my call to that person and shooed me off the phone. It is clear that no one is going to call me back because I have not followed the protocol.
Apparently they have a high turnover and our agents can change in a heartbeat. I’m confused by this swift change.

This company is highly unprofessional. They give you the run around. Have you on hold then hang up. Give you false information. They wait until deadlines pass to submit your information just to claim something expired. For example I took a TB on November 25 2024 and had it read November 27 2024. Scoot makes a false claim that TB test must be done within 60 days or they are invalid. TB are got for a year. Regardless of this bogus nonsense I submitted my negative TB on January 23 to Scoot which was well before 60 days. They waited until January 30 to submit my TB then say it was expired. All the while I get a get livescanned by the LA Archdiocese on Monday January 27, 2025 submit my TB test from November 27, 2024 and I'm in the classroom teaching by January 30, 2025. Easy peasy. Scoot is a joke of a company. I'm hear to help warn the public to steer clear of this condescending organization. I could only imagine what getting paid must be like. Good luck Scoot. You'll need it.

I was having an issue related to the manner in which my application and training was handled at the San Antonio, Texas location. It seemed like they were attempting to find a loophole to racially profile me prior to hiring. They blocked my phone calls and email messages, but when I called Scoot Education's Los Angeles office they were patient with me and handled the situation in a civil manner.

Did an interview with this company after I gave them my three references and did everything they asked and they said they were gonna hire me they said my references weren’t through enough and chose somebody else after having me do interviews and I met all the requirements they asked this company is BS and I did give you guys my reference but you wanted a detailed description of what I was doing for previous employment and that’s not what I a reference is supposed to be it’s supposed to be confirming I’m a good worker and all three of mine did and I know how a reference is supposed to look I’ve been working since I was 13 this is just not a good company and if you wanted detailed references like that it should have been made clear you all you said was 3 references so you can prove you had that job and so we know your a good worker but your company was a waste of time

The managers don't seem to care how they come across to employees. And they do get angry and even hostile if a school says something negative regardless of the circumstances. And most of all, it was like no one was in charge. One manager would say something and another would say something else and you never knew what you were going to get. Calling teachers at their homes and being hostile isn't exactly what one expects from professional educators dealing with children and special needs.

Did contact HR, no response. No surprise.

Scoot Education’s culture is a breath of fresh air. Many companies claim to have a work-family culture, but this is the first time I feel like this is true. Scoot has an invested interest in their employees’ well-being. I also like that there are opportunities to improve processes and grow within the company.

A great company that truly cares about their employees! Their internal staff is made up of previous educators who understand the importance of qualified and prepared teachers in the classroom. I have nothing but great experiences with everyone there! Highly recommend working for Scoot Education!!!
