As someone who could have been described as a casual lifter at big box gyms, I was initially unsure Physical Culture would be right for me. Half a year later, I can report that joining has been the greatest boon to my strength and confidence with a value well worth the price tag.

The gym itself is a fantastic and clean space with the right amount of every piece of equipment you could reasonably need.

But the coaching seals the deal. I work with John Tracey and he puts together thoughtful routines based on my needs and abilities every other month, making tweaks as needed. My gains have been symmetrical and I’ve developed confidence to perform lifts I never would’ve tried otherwise.

I can’t always make it in when John is coaching the floor, but I’ve gotten to know all the amazing coaches and know I can rely on them to give me pointers. In addition to their training acumen, the coaches have great emotional intelligence and know exactly how to help and motivate each individual with a light touch. It’s a smart system that works extremely well thanks to the people who run it.

I started my fitness journey at Physical Culture in Fall 2023. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. This is not your regular gym, it’s a wonderful community of people who care about you and your fitness journey.

When you join the gym you are assigned a coach that creates your exercise program for you based on your goals etc. I think having someone do that for you is so helpful. I’ve been working with Coach Steve since last May and I love learning from him. He is a tough task master and that is exactly what I was looking for. He motivates me enough to overcome my fears in the gym. I’m a newbie to weight lifting and with him as my guide I’ve had so many successful firsts. I love the energy he brings to the floor and how he cares for his clients.

I’ve engaged with various floor coaches, and people working out and everyone is helpful and wanting you to win. It’s a great positive environment and I always leave the gym feeling tired but happier and having accomplished something.

If you are looking for a team that’s knowledgeable, caring and friendly, Physical Culture is your gym. I’m excited to learn from and grow stronger and healthier with coach Steve over the next few years.

I've been coming here for nearly three years now and it is one of the best gyms I've ever been to.

What really makes it is are the coaches. This isn't a typical gym where you walk in anonymously, use some machines, and walk out. This is a gym where you work with a coach, you get a personalized training program, and you get coaching/advice when you're working out (if you need/want it).

I've gotten to know a number of the coaches over the years and they're all good people who have the interest of their clients at heart.

The gym has a great selection of equipment, but not many machines. That is a good thing in my eyes. Working with free weights has always been my preferred workout. They do have a few machines to help with cardio (rower, ski erg, assault bike).

The gym has a great culture. The clients and the coaches are very friendly, helpful, and attentive.

If you're looking to get some help getting a workout routine going, get some accountability, and just get into fitness in general, this is a great place. I recommend it.

After trying numerous gyms over the years that were either overcrowded or too focused on the social scene, Physical Culture is exactly what I was looking for. I've been a member for almost a year, and it's got a great mix of serious training and genuine community.

Special mention to my trainer June, who has been exceptional in helping me work around chronic back issues. Getting form right is crucial, and June's expertise has helped me build strength more effectively than previous physical therapy, while actually reducing my pain levels.

The gym has great equipment and helpful trainers across the board. It's a place where you can focus on your goals while knowing there's solid support when you need it.

As someone who has been a part of the Physical Culture’s community for many years, I can say with certainty that this gym is truly special. I first discovered Physical Culture back in my freshman year of high school, and from the very beginning, the team of coaches there have been incredible mentors to me.

Over the course of my time getting to know them, they have consistently gone above and beyond to support my fitness journey and personal growth. Their passion for helping others reach their full potential is matchless, and they have always been there for me, cheering me on and providing vital guidance every step of the way.

Now, as a strength coach with Physical Culture myself, I can say that being a part of this team has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The sense of community and camaraderie is unmatched, and I am constantly in awe of the transformative work we are able to do together.

Whether you are a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, I cannot recommend Physical Culture highly enough. The coaches are truly top-notch, and the programming is innovative and effective. If you are looking for a gym that will push you to become the best version of yourself, look no further than Physical Culture!!

I've been a member of Physical Culture and working with June for almost 2 years. Since then, not only has my body had a huge transformation, but my community has grown. As a former professional performer, I accepted chronic injuries and endless rehab as part of my daily life. June created programing for me that speaks to my unique recovery needs as well as helped me reimagine my relationship to my movement, body composition, strength, and BJJ training. I've never felt better or more confident in how I feel and look. When I'm in the gym, I get support not only from June, but the other coaches as well and the other members have welcomed me with warm smiles and wide arms. Out of 5 stars, I give 'em 10.

Busy with work and a new father, former CrossFitter, I was tired of wasting time on workouts that didn’t drive real progress. I needed convenience, precision and effective workouts.

I work with Coach Steve, and couldn’t recommend him more. Personalized programs, tailors things based on your schedule (traveling, time constraints) and reacts exceptionally well to training feedback. The gym equipment is solid (would like that assault runner and a full rope!), but the coach makes it for me. We have introduced several friends to the gym and they love it as well.
