Really great staff, from the girls at the front desk and also the nurses, doctors, etc... such a friendly group of people!
Everybody has a big smile always.. that is so important to us, patients and our families, who are going through such a tough path.
Thank you all, but specially Dr. Campos, who is my doctor, and we're both from Peru, and he's always been so kind and understanding with me.
Keep the good work, and keep on smiling and giving us hope!

Terrible service. Just read the other reviews

I’ve called many times for scheduling, only to get transferred to their recording, leave a detailed voicemail, not get a call back, call again the next day, get transferred to their recording, leave a detailed voicemail, not get a call back, call again the next day, get transferred to their recording, leave a detailed voicemail, not get a call back, call again the next day, get transferred to their recording, leave a detailed voicemail, not get a call back, call again the next day, get transferred to their recording, leave a detailed voicemail, not get a call back.

I was diagnosed with cancer in 2023. I moved to Houston in 2024 & was referred to Oncology Consultants in Jan 2024. I have to go in every 6 months, today is my 3rd visit & I can agree with the rest of the reviewers. The wait time is horrible, what's even more disappointing is ppl come in with appointment times after you & still get seen before you. After you do get finally call back they put you in another room to wait more.

I was scheduled for 1st time as a patient at the beginning of August with Dr. Sanford then without any call ahead once I went there I've told the doctor not there and nurse practitioner will see me(it's not a follow up appointment)then I have to come back to the Dr after month I tried to go back on September and I found that the Dr can't see me again in the time that they've rescheduled for me asking me to come back again next week.
NO, I WON'T COME AGAIN
Bad management and unprofessional staff
Check the others to avoid wasting time and money.

I was told there was absolutely nothing wrong with my blood besides anemia. Even after expressing the clotting issue I felt I had. No...he said nothing was wrong. Fast forward 6 years and I'm literally dying.....from a genetic BLOOD disorder. Thank goodness I finally went for a second opinion.

I have a good oncologist Dr Alvarez However trying to get refills or communicate with nurse staff is horrible. Every month I wait over a week at least just to hear back on prescriptions until I have to blow up and get loud from the constant frustration of not getting anything done. I have stage 4 metastatic breast cancer it's changed everything in my life and not for the better. So these people have no idea of the mental and physical pain and stress that people go through daily. I'm now labeled as abusing nursing staff because I had to get loud and demand help. I literally waited over 2 weeks to get refills last month and no one ever got back to me on care space. This is really wrong I understand people are busy but you can't have that kind of total disrespect for patients with cancer. Please do better. Please have a proper system for prescription refills. I know the nurses are overworked and I know they are good at their jobs they see at least 130 plus patients daily just at the Gessner location. I definitely feel that this clinics main objective isn't in creating a well run organized clinic for patients care but rather to make as much money as possible by see that many patients as possible in a day. It really does make one feel like a number or being in an assembly line. Especially when your doctor spends less than 10 min with you and forgets the conversation we discussed. Really sad and frustrated!

Office at 2130 W. Holcombe Blvd. Houston

Dr. Sam was wonderful. The nurses were wonderful. I gave 2 stars to this practice as the infusion room was less than desirable. Patients were all clumped together without any consideration of gender. There was absolutely no privacy even when you had to discuss your own personal concerns about your medical condition. I don’t appreciate having to listen to everyone’s medical condition. It is very personal. I received treatment in 2 other states that provided privacy in separate pods. It was also the only practice that demanded payment for chemo upfront before they would adminster it. This was not an issue for me but I overheard others being denied when they checked in.
Today I received a statement ( 3 months after my last treatment) saying I owed money that I did not. I confirmed this with my insurance company. The accounting personnel were unprofessional and refused to call the insurance company to verify the findings. I would only use this practice as a last resort. Very disappointing.

I would like to share my experience. My mom was referred to see Dr. Kathy Sam by Dr Surgeon. You know my mom doesn’t speak English so I had to call instead of her. We didn’t know that you have Vietnamese speaker until I called and New Patient Department confirmed that somebody speak our language. It’s so convenient. Finally my mom got her appointment easier and met Dr Kathy Sam last week (4/4/2022). I’m so thankful Ms Xuan Nguyen and her department who explained and support me and my mom a lot! I will share this experience with my Vietnamese community in Houston who need to see specialist.
