I started seeing Dr. Marcus about 2 years ago. In the past 2 years, he has LITERALLY eliminated pain I have been dealing with for over 10 years. When I started seeing him, I felt helpless that I would never live without pain. I was being prescribed the highest dose of fentanyl and was still dealing with pain daily. I had undergone back surgery 14 years ago which did help alleviate my sciatic nerve pain, but I was still dealing with pain that no one could seem to fix. I tried multiple different therapies with multiple doctors and nothing helped. Even though Dr. Marcus's treatment isn't magic, it surely seemed like magic. I am no longer on ANY pain meds and I have a new lease on life and feel great!! It was well worth traveling to see Dr. Marcus. I only wish I found him sooner.

Very literate in Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos treatment. Dr. Marcus goes beyond the constraints of classic pain management, which is critical for people with hEDS. He helps me manage my Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and POTS, which usually accompany classic cases of hEDS. He completely cured my 15-year old sciatic-like pain in my right leg. Plus, his office manager Aya is a godsend who helped me overcome my fear of doctors (a common hEDS problem). His office has come to feel like a family to my partner and I, who both have hEDS. What a godsend. Seriously.

Dr. Marcus saved my life. I didn’t know what it felt to live without pain until I met him. His extraordinary knowledge and the effectiveness of his procedures go hand by hand with his amazing personality and the warmth and attentiveness of his staff.

I cant express just how much I appreciate Dr. Marcus, his staff, and his very unique procedure to address muscle pain. As a NYC firefighter of 16 years, personal trainer and massage therapist, I have advanced knowledge of sports and occupational injuries. I have personally experienced a number of injuries that could have shortened or hindered my career. Thanks to Dr. Marcus’s treatments, that is no longer the case. Seeing Dr. Marcus has become a routine, non negotiable part of my self care. I am a strong advocate for his methods and have referred several family members, friends, co workers, and clients. Many of whom were able to avoid surgery thanks to his pain alleviating treatment.

Dr. Marcus is by far the best doctor I have gone too. I have spent my whole life in countless doctors being misdiagnosed and having none of my symptoms resolved. Before NMPI, I was told by other doctors that I was out of options and would live in chronic pain for the rest of my life, living on opioids and an abundance of medications. I tried spinal surgeries, epidurals, nerve blocks, trigger point injections, ablations, acupuncture and more, with no success. Dr. Marcus was not only able to finally diagnosis me, but his treatments allowed me to get off of several medications and finally have a great deal of relief. He takes the time to fully listen to everything you have to say and does not make you feel like you are rushed in any way. Dr. Marcus, Aya, and Stephanie make sure you are comfortable and understand the diagnosis and treatment plan. I couldn’t be more thankful.

Dr Marcus is the only doctor I have found who looks at pain from a muscular cause and treats it successfully. I have Ehlers-Danlos and CRPS. Years of pain management including nerve blocks, epidurals and daily narcotics only kept the pain in check, however I always felt drugged and my whole body hurt. I wasn't functional and I had tried almost everything. While I am not 100% yet, my pain is now merely an annoyance. I take way fewer medications. My range of motion and posture have improved. I can exercise and play with my grandchildren. Thank you Dr Marcus, Aya and Geraldine for giving me my life back. I will always be grateful.

I consider myself a healthy, fit, 48yo. However, when I shifted to olympic weightlifting (clean and jerks/snatch) I started having roving pain from my hamstrings to my lower back. During the workouts I also noticed that my muscles weren't firing in the proper sequence to shift the weight from below the waist to above. Tried lots of things with various results (PT, medical massage, FRA/FRC style mobility training, etc), however, nothing was able to really resolve the issue. Went to Dr Marcus and he was able to correctly identify the muscles that weren't functioning and fix them. The amount of functional movement return I've seen has been great. In the process I've resolved muscle pain that has been bugging me for 30 years. Huge improvement.

Put me on 1800 OxyContin’s a month. 8 every 4 hours. I could barely stand, I would fall asleep in random places. I’m lucky to be alive!!
I had Endometriosis. Didn’t know what to do with my pain so kept increasing my dosage. I’m sincerely luckily I’m not a junky right now. I have lost several people in my life who started on “pain meds” after surgery and then could no longer get them, and turned to the streets!
I have lost my Gall bladder, appendix and all my teeth due to “his help”. He almost killed me.
To think this was almost 20 years ago, I wonder how many deaths or now junkies he can be proud of starting off their career or helped put them in the ground.
Don’t always trust because they have a degree!!
Thank God they have made restrictions.
Seeing him almost turned into a death sentence!!
