My experience at this facility was a good experience. The facility is a good size, well organized, no rude staff members and always followed up with me as a client , clients were also friendly while I was in the facility. During office hours staff do pick up calls and they always responded back the same day or next morning. Even after your finished the company stays in contact to ensure the client received proper care.

I set my appointment time for 11:00 but It’s currently 1:45 and I still haven’t been seen. Even though I set my appointment for 11, they let people that set their appointment for 11:20 get seen before me. If I want to reschedule I have to wait until January.

Update: I was seen today and despite the wait (~2hrs) the service was acceptable and the doctor was professional and helped me very well. Good service at a good price.

Go literally anywhere else if you can. I had a 25 minute virtual appointment. Alex Shteynshlyuger was over 2 hours late. the appointment itself was 15 minutes of me mostly staring at the guy in silence while people walked around in the background. He then charged me an additional 25 dollar "complexity" fee. I went to a second urologist and they had me diagnosed and treated in under 30 minutes. This place might legitimately be a scam.

Avoid this office if you can. While the doctor does great work, the office is plagued with inconsistencies, poor book keeping, and you WILL WAIT in that waiting room for HOURS after your appointment. Don’t waist your time and money (in tolls and parking) like I unfortunately did. Find a better doc office.

I had a procedure on October 5th and specifically requested that only male staff be involved when I made the arrangements with Justin. However, during the procedure, a female medical assistant unexpectedly asked me to undress for prep. I mentioned my preference to her but didn’t want to make a scene, so I allowed her to proceed.

To add to my frustration, the front desk staff member male, entered the room without reason while I was undressed. This experience left me feeling that the practice does not take patient concerns seriously. Dr. Alex was professional, and the procedure itself went well.

When someone from the office called to schedule follow-ups, I expressed my concerns and stated that I would not return due to my experience. I did request they advise Dr. Alex of my experience but I am uncertain if that occurred because what concerns me even more is the lack of an apology or follow-up from Dr. Alex regarding the incident after a week of expressing this. It feels like either no one cares or they don’t see it as a significant issue.

Patients deserve privacy and respect during procedures, and staff should not enter the room unless they are medical professionals. I will need to find another urologist for my follow-ups. I appreciate Dr. Alex’s care, but his staff requires better training in patient confidentiality and professionalism.

The only good thing about this office is that I was able to get a same day appointment. Now I know why. I scheduled with Dr. Alex and was given prices over the phone. Arrived at the office and was told "go stand in front of that computer and wait for someone". It's a shared reception area so OK, but it was just an odd start. Pricing given over the phone was not what I was charged (it was more expensive as others have said here) but I was worried about my health so went along with it.

Go wait for the doc, but he doesn't come in. It's a physician assistant who barely tells me his name. He does an exam, and gives me a diagnosis, but also says come back for an ultrasound. Did not see the doc at all.

Came back for the US and was charged full self pay price because my out of network deductible wasn't met. Fine. Ultrasound was done by a tech who was actually very nice and competent. Dr. Alex finally comes in, makes no eye contact nor does he introduce himself. Just explains results of the US and gives me a different diagnosis then the PA gave me on first visit. I asked for a copy of the results as I had a second opinion scheduled, which seemed to offend him. Only way to give me results was to put it on a zip drive which didn't work when I went to the other doc.

My second visit wasn't billed for a while because of the change healthcare problem. By by the time it was billed my deductible was met and they were paid quite well. I inquired about this with the office as I had already paid for the visit, but no response.

Summary: choose a different office even if you have to wait. Poor bedside manor, questionable pricing and billing practices, etc.

"I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Alex at New York Urology! From the initial consultation to the follow-up care, Dr. Alex demonstrated unwavering professionalism, expertise, and compassion.
The treatment cost is very affordable comparing to many other clinics, if you don’t have medical insurance this the right place for all your urology treatments.
I was little confuse before booking the initial consultation by seeing the google reviews, saw some bad reviews but later after my treatment I realise all that reviews are not make sense with reality. I took treat ment during sep- oct 2024:
The staff was also friendly, efficient, and made me feel welcome.

Terrible...Doctor Alex is a joke at best... I was scheduled for a 9am and had to wait for close to 4 hours on a Saturday morning. The waiting room was packed and we could hear all the intimacy related questions that the doctor was asking one of the patients which was embarassing for everyone waiting.
When I was finally called in, his nurse did most of the visit and had some basic advice to give. When Doctor Alex finally decided to see me, he made some arrogant comments on the French not being supportive enough of Ukraine : well sorry I did not sacrifice half of my Saturday in your waiting room to hear your political views. I just needed a serious diagnosis and a treatment and had neither nor.
They charged me $280 upon arrival but after the visit they demanded another $45 which they were unable to justify the reason. The more the front desk assistant was trying to explain the need for the extra $45 and the more she was getting confused in her own nonsense explanation.
I gave them the choice between collecting the $280 or the $45, not both ! It took me days for them to let go of these $45... Please, please, please do not waste your time here. Health is the most precious asset we have, go elsewhere where you will be appreciated, not to this farce of a place !
