Was first seen by Dr. Chan who ordered an EMG test at a later date. When I returned for my EMG test, I was told that Dr. Chan left the practice and that Dr. Gerhardt would be conducting the test. Dr. Gerhardt seemed frustrated and was very abrasive and rough causing me alot of pain. Please note that an EMG test isn't supposed to be really painful or make you bleed and if you bleed you shouldn't bleed a lot. Dr. Gerhardt was so rough with me that he asked me if I was on blood thinners (I am not) to justify the amount of blood I was losing. On top of that, when he left, I realized he'd thrown all of the gauze used to wipe the blood off of me ALL over the room, counters, floors and even equipment instead of a biohazard receptacle. I work in healthcare and know full well what an absolute infection prevention fail that is. NO HRO tools here. He tells me that he wasn't sure which doctor I'd be assigned to since they were figuring out what to do with Dr. Chan's patients. He states someone will be in with my EMG report soon. 25 minutes later, I walk out & realize they forgot about me being in there & hand me my report that was sitting on the printer. I call back a couple of days later to see how to get my work accommodation paperwork completed as I wasn't sure which Medical Asst to contact. A third visit and $150 in copays in one month, I was assigned to Mina, Dr. Gerhardt's NP, who was very pleasant. It's been one day since my last appt and Elsa calls me from their office. I remember her tone well as I witnessed her being rude to people at check-in at all of my appointments. Elsa proceeds to tell me that Karen needed me to come in to discuss my EMG results and referral to a surgeon. I explained I received my EMG results AND that I had already scheduled my surgery consult. Elsa pops off rudely saying she was "just doing her job" and trying to schedule an appt
which I guess translates into “it doesn’t matter what you say or how many appts you’ve had, I’m going to speak mindlessly because I’m paid to do so”. Elsa, at the least, needs training on how to actively listen to patients, apologize for the mix-up and not waste their time instead of being rude and obnoxious for no reason. I hung up on her as she was too ignorant to continue speaking to. I called back to leave a voicemail with Karen so that she understood that my case had been taken by Mina and Dr. Gerhardt, but big mouth ELSA answered the phone. She obviously wanted to be confrontational and she met her match today. Elsa needs to be fired. She is a risk to this practice. She is an unhappy bully and is getting paid to ruin people's day. Dr. Gerhardt needs to practice IP protocols or patients could get a bloodborne pathogen while trying to seek care for neurological issues. What a train wreck! It speaks to the culture of this practice that it’s volume over quality, which could be dangerous & unethical. I will not be returning to this practice.

As a healthcare provider myself, I know how annoying it can be to get a negative review based on billing issues. Dr. Subei himself is kind and listens well. However, I feel obligated to make other self-pay patients aware of the billing practices here. I was charged an $800 deposit before a first appointment, and signed an explanation of fees for self-pay patients. I had 2 appointments with their office, and was then referred out to another office. Based on their rates, I should have been owed a refund of nearly half the deposit. However, 6 months and 3 conversations later, and the correct refund is still not processed. A small refund for an incorrect amount finally processed this week, more than 2 months after I was told it would process in 14 days. As a self-pay patient, meeting healthcare needs can get incredibly expensive. And while I understand this amount may be negligible for them in the larger scheme of things, it does have an impact on families trying to navigate a broken healthcare system and survive in this economy. Do better.

Dr. Fonda Chan is the best neurologist I have found. She is kind, compassionate & the most caring doctor of any of my many doctors.
She recently added Elsa to her staff. She is a great compliment to Dr. Chan. She answers her phone & messages sent via their portal.
Elsa is a GREAT ADVANTAGE to have for any office. Elsa is also caring & compassionate.

Dr. Gossett was absolutely fantastic! He asked very thorough questions and provided understandable and reasonable answers. He seemed to genuinely take an interest in our medical care and understanding the reason for our visit. He didn't seem rushed during the visit and spoke to both myself and my child in a professional and respectful manner. He also took the time to explain next steps and ensure we didn’t have further questions. We really couldn’t ask for better. Crystal was also very accommodating and friendly during our initial arrival.

Dr. Chambers is an excellent doctor. She did a wonderful job with my injections. The issue became billing. I called before my first appointment to make sure pre-authorization was obtained. I was told it was obtained. I would ask after my injections if a balance was due, and I was told no. Dr. Chambers even remarked on how good my insurance must be. Only in November in 2024, 10 months later, did i learn from the billing staff that my insurance hadn’t paid on any claims yet. I was really confused. The billing department didn’t know why insurance hadn’t paid. As far as I can tell, the billing person hadn’t called the company to find out why. I called myself and learned that the pre-authorization hadn’t been obtained correctly. I relayed the information back to the billing staff. I told her she would need to call the number on the back of the card for “pre-authoriztions.” I went back and forth with billing and insurance through the months of December and January. There was the issue of whether they could accept the new pre-authorization since it didn’t contain a “confirmation number.” The old claims have been resubmitted for review at the insurance company, and they are currently pending. Today I get a call from a supervisor. I think it was Sherry, but I’m not completely sure. She started the call by saying, “I hate to tell you this, but you owe over $7,000.” I was shocked. I tried my best to explain the problem of the pre-authorizations and how it wasn’t obtained incorrectly by their office. She was very difficult to communicate with during the call, and I finally told her I felt like we were speaking different languages, and she said, “Yes, I think we are.” The decision was made to cancel my injections this coming Friday unless I can put down a deposit for the visit—even though the office has the correct pre-authorization now. The billing office denies that they have a pre-authorization because the insurance company doesn’t issue confirmation numbers. This is all too much stress, and I’ve been in pain waiting to get my next injections. I’ll now have to transfer to a different neurology office and hope their billing department can communicate effectively with BCBS and Teamcare. I think it would help your billing office to have more staff, and I think it would help if they could follow-up with insurance companies too instead of leaving the patient to facilitate the communication between insurance and billing through 3-way calls. I also think it would be helpful for billing to always look at the back of insurance cards to see if there is a specific number for pre-authorizations. My insurance is BCBS, but Teamcare handles the pre-authorizations. This is the insurance that all UPS employees use, and it would be good if the billing staff and supervisors understood this going forward.

Dr. Gossett is AMAZING! We drove in from Louisiana to see him, and it was totally worth the drive. My son loved him and his nurse, Chandra. If you are looking for a pediatrician neurologist, he's your guy!

I’m extremely frustrated with the lack of urgency and poor communication at this clinic. I have a serious neurological disorder, and despite repeated attempts to contact their office throughout the year, I was consistently met with delays. When I urgently needed to see a doctor following critical tests, they scheduled me three months out, which is completely unacceptable given the circumstances.

To make matters worse, after all the back-and-forth and their inability to prioritize my case, they had the audacity to charge me a $50 no-show fee. I understand policies, but it’s infuriating when a clinic demonstrates no urgency or accountability for a patient’s health while penalizing the patient financially.

I have since sought care elsewhere (Mayo Clinic and Dr. Kumar in Frisco), but I cannot recommend this clinic to anyone needing responsive and compassionate neurological care. If you’re dealing with a serious condition and need timely attention, I advise you to look elsewhere.

This clinic continued to reschedule my appointment twice at the last min. I've had to switch over to a new neurologist within this building for an appointment and even with the switch its a day later and i'm waiting for the medicine to be sent over to the pharmacy after my visit on 2/25 Im calling and all i get is sent to voicemail from front desk.
