Mailbird, the once-promising email client, has revealed its true colors. What was once touted as a "lifetime" upgrade is now a sham, leaving loyal customers frustrated and angry.

Here's why Mailbird has earned our scathing review:

Broken Promises: Mailbird's "lifetime" licenses promised access to future updates and features for life. However, the company has now reneged on its promise, stating that updates will cease after 2024. This is a blatant bait-and-switch tactic, and it's incredibly unfair to customers who trusted Mailbird and invested in their product.

Silencing Dissent: Mailbird's customer service is just as disappointing as their change in policy. Instead of addressing customer concerns and taking responsibility for their actions, Mailbird has resorted to blocking anyone who speaks out on their social media platforms. This is a clear attempt to silence dissent and suppress negative feedback.

Moving the Goalposts: To make matters worse, Mailbird keeps shifting its position on future updates. Initially, they stated that no updates would be provided after 2024. Turning off comments on most of their posts in Facebook and other social media is tantamount to plugging their ears from listening to their clients concerns...
That company needs to be exposed for it's absolute negligence and lack of professionalism in regards to the treatment they've shown to their lifetime clients.
Thanks for the refund Mailbird BUT there are many others that feel totally ripped off and ignored by your shutting down the voices of many.
And before you proceed to respond to this review with yet another speil about how wonderful v.3 is and how sorry you are about my frustration and anger, keep in mind that I am only one of many of your original "LIFETIME" membership clients that have been left feeling betrayed and ignored.
I do not require your redundant response to this...I only want others to understand your shady business practices.

Bought a lifetime license for this email client. The software works well until you get notification that your lifetime license is not really lifetime, but actually runs out next year as they have released a New and improved product. Actually, it is just an update to the current product but they will not give it to the lifetime licensees. Now they want $30 plus $20/yr for continued support and updates.
They are scamming us. DO NOT BUY OR USE THIS PRODUCT AND EXPECT TO BE TREATED FAIRLY. THEY ARE CROOKS AND THIEVES.

I have been on mailbird for four years and used it to combine my gmail and cox personal accounts as well as my business website. As Mailbird added more features, I had more problems like emails being switched from inbox to sent and problems with not being able to send even if settings were correct on accounts. I asked for help and they sent a "fix" that totally wiped out my program and I have begged them for a week to help retrieve all my emails that were stored in the program. As of yet I am unable to open Mailbird again. Too many features doomed this software and I can't get them to help fix it.

Has works really well for years with an easy to understand interface that links all my accounts together. Not perfect (no scheduled sending) yet but there are constant upgrades and fixes to bugs from a very active development team. I love it!

It's more than a year that I switched to Mailbird. I love the design - it stands out. I love it because I can integrate different services such as Wunderlist, Whatsapp, Google Apps, Trello etc. What it misses are some right-click functions and the possibility to move email messages between accounts.

I initally used windows mail but it was very buggy. Came upon Mailbird several years ago while searching for alternatives. Tested it & all the issues/errors with windows mail vanished under MB. Within 30 minutes I bought MB Pro lifetime.

I love the built in addons: chrome, dropbox,google drive,facebook, twitter,whatsapp etc. All intergrated into Mailbird making it much easier to multi-task or chat while working.

More recently the product line was re-worked. I got a free upgrade to the top tier business edition while retaining my lifetime key. Which shows the staff truly appreciate their long term customers. Thanks to Andrea & staff for the excellent app & continued hardwork 🙂

I just wish there was an Android version of Mailbird!

Have used for a couple of weeks, and am completely satisfied. A great replacement for Outlook if you are looking to get away from the MS subscription or upgrade route.
