DO NOT WORK WITH THESE GUYS!!! Not worth your time or money. They were SO slow to respond to our questions and concerns and overall, unprofessional!

After a year of working with JB accounting, my husband called to cancel our account with them. Either they didn’t listen or forgot, and they didn’t cancel the account. We got charged for their services even though we weren’t using them anymore and they said they would send us to collections if we didn’t pay. This was incredibly frustrating because we had called and made it clear that we no longer needed them! JB accounting is a disorganized and crooked business.

They are awful at communicating with their clients. When there was paperwork in question instead of calling to ask me about it and clarify they assumed they knew what was best and did not talk to me first. Def. not what I would want from a company handling money.. Clear communication is essential and good customer service practices would go a long way.

Classified our 1 property business as an S-corp. Upon finding this out, we requested the S-corp be dissolved half a year ago. The person who filed our taxes forgot and did not dissolve until we arranged to meet to file our actual taxes, where we reminded him. He then dissolved it (which should have been done half a year ago) but it missed the deadline so we were fined for not filing our S-corp (that should not been created in the first place). When we contacted Garrett, he told us that there was nothing he could do. We questioned him why he so late to dissolve it, he just said he didn’t remember it needing to be dissolved. He said he thought our company was a sale’s company, which he had told us the same story half a year ago when we brought it up the first time. We were brushed off and given no help to resolve the issue.

Likewise, we had to spend hours getting in touch with the IRS to fix a mess that we thought we were paying someone to keep us out of. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.

JB Accounting and Tax has been a very big let down. I originally had a good experience with them years ago when I was in school but just switched back to them now with my business and personal taxes this past year. My primary point of contact was Michael, who is very nice on the phone but is completely non responsive.

They filed an extension on my behalf and said everything was good, when they finally filed my taxes and let me know how much to pay I logged on to my account to pay taxes and made the payment I was advised.

Later I received an additional tax bill for more than $1,000. When I called to state comptroller I found out that the extension was denied unless a certain amount of taxes was paid ad the time or requesting the extension.

Non of this was communicated to me and when I asked JB Accounting and Tax nobody responded to my email. Over the course of about three months I have sent three emails about the issue and nobody will respond. To me is shows a lack of professionalism, maturity, and integrity.

I would not recommend their services.

I started using these guys almost 10 years ago. I come here today to tell you to stay away!! Both offices are extremely hard to work with. The people working for them are pig headed. No communication. Their CNA threatened to report me to the IRS when I wouldn't pay him to fill out forms that I could do myself.

They claim to be the top company for door to door salesmen. They are not! They have raised their prices three times in one year. BEWARE!

Do NOT work with these guys. I worked with Michael Rowell and I am STILL dealing with an amended return from 2019 that they did absolutely terribly. Has no idea what they are doing. PLEASE do your research into why someone there got sued and why they are so shady. Pay someone else to do your taxes the right way! I have proof that I worked with JB accounting and have posted a photo of the proof

We have been using JB Accounting services for over five years with great results and they are always very communicative and prompt when I have questions. We have moved across the country twice, bought and sold homes and had pay from multiple states. Additionally, their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them.
