I knew absolutely nothing about trust deed investing but somehow stumbled across some marketing for Ignite Funding and requested a consultation to learn more about it. I received a call from Christian at Ignite and right away I could tell he was knowledgeable and trustworthy. He answered all of my questions in great detail and addressed all of my concerns. I love the fact the Ignite has a podcast. I learned so much about how they operated by listening. They take their due diligence seriously. While my experience started out well, it has ended terribly. We started with a dedicated investment counselor who was well informed and was able to assist us in making sound investments, to being handled by inexperienced customer service reps. This has led to us being invested in several defaulted loans. Between my father in law and me, of the dozen or so investments we made with Ignite, 3 have ended up in default and while it’s been nearly a year with some of these investments, we still don’t have a clear idea if and when we might recoup some of our principal. Warning: there’s a reason why these investments pay 10% - they are high risk. Worth considering, but make sure that you’re well informed and can afford to loose your money.
