Canceling your membership is like going through a maze. There's no option online to cancel membership, you must call them and speak with a rep who will try to convince you to stay with the services despite multiple request to cancel the service. The rep would also try to sell you different products in the process.

UPDATE: 2 days later after posting the review above, I get a generic auto-response saying that they can't locate my account based on my information provided and they also indicated that there were two ways to cancel their services: #1 by calling their customer care team and #2 by clicking the cancel button from their member's website. To be frank, this is complete false. It is nearly impossible to locate the cancel button from website even as a former member - because there is not one that exist. Below is what I found on their website to cancel.

"For Cancellation:
If for any reason you are not satisfied, you can cancel at any time to discontinue your monitoring membership. Cancellation must be made by calling our Customer Service department. "

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention one day after canceling my membership on the phone, I was again charged the additional monthly fee for no reason. The rep on the phone stated that they have any termination fee for canceling.. They won't refund you the overcharged.

I don't fall for their dirty tactic, save your money and goes elsewhere that actually cares.

I had a great experience with representative Kimberly that was very informative.
The breach took me by surprise and I was going to cancel the services because I had acquired dual coverage. But with all the care and concern given to me and now understanding my coverage a lot better I saw where I needed to keep it and follow through with putting a freeze on my credit account. It’s nice to hear someone who knows what they’re talking about when concerning using products that you want all information about. She was very acknowledging about the company and even though I called to see why money was taking out of my account; and I didn’t want your services; she told me to try it out and if I still wanted to cancel. Well today I had to call customer service at identity IQ for a matter that was somewhat unrelated to any of the services offered at identity IQ. However it did involve contacting an affiliate of theirs that uses identity IQ as part of the services they offer. I got a hold of a customer service representative named Chris, and he was outstanding. No offense to anyone in another country with a heavy accent but it was refreshing to speak to someone I could understand very very clearly. In addition I must add that he was knowledgeable, polite, patient and precise at explaining things and requesting additional information from me so that he could further assist me. Very friendly customer service and that is refreshing in the world that we live in today.

The representatives are cordial, and the content is okay (although it's packaged in a way that incentivizes the customer to pay more for more features, even though you're already paying $30 a month). Canceling this service is a headache as there isn't a simple way to cancel, and it feels like you have to jump through hoops to complete this task.

Makes you listen to rambling 10 minute long scripts that are purposely evasive about canceling your account. A company that boasts about being helpful does a very impressive job at swindling consumers. Two different employees told me that it is my fault that I ended the call before confirming the account was canceled. Every single policy is full of loopholes in their favor, then the "strict no refund policy" is the real cherry on top.

Go up
