Byers Canyon Shooting Range is awesome. Just wish the pistol range had some tables and some shade. Love the fact that everyone is respectful of the rules and cleans up after themselves, including the brass from the discharges. Great little diamond in the rough. Will definitely be back!

Visited the Gore Canyon Shooting Range. Improvements this spring include wider pistol ranges, more rifle stations, larger archery Range. Many stations are in need of a bench and cover. Also many of the target frames need replaced. 4 outhouses with handicap accessible parking. I'm assuming more upgrades will happen this spring. Hunting or fishing license required for use, however Range is NOT monitored. Closed during the winter months to protect the deer. There is also a Law Enforcement range not available for public use. No tracer, armor piercing or 50 caliber BMG. No full automatic weapons allowed. Suppressors are okay if properly registered.

The range is very well kept, the rangers were very friendly and respectful not only to the citizens of Colorado, but to us visiting the wildlife area.

Great little spot in the bend of the river. Down the dirt road, there is a ton of little parking and picnic spots. Nice place to hang out for a bit.

If you're here to shoot at the range, get here by 6am to guarantee a lane in the fall. People are getting ready for big game, so the range is in demand. There is a Porta potty, but it's not in awesome shape. No running water anywhere here.

Definitely off the beaten path. Good place for primitive camping. There are porta-potties around but I don't recommend going inside one of them.

This is a beautiful area with breathtaking views and wildlife. Close proximity to great fishing as well.
