They are so detailed oriented and knowledgable. I’m so happy I decided to attend one of Homebrew’s tasting sessions. This one was at Spectrum Coffee in Bushwick to taste their single origin offerings, and Sam and Gio did a wonderful job introducing the coffees, sharing coffee tidbits and knowledge, and creating a warm, welcoming, educational environment that was low-key (other than how hi-key the coffee was!), comfortable, and unpretentious, while also being deep, rigorous, and valuable. Whether you’re new to coffee or a seasoned prof, I genuinely think Homebrew is worth your time. Not only will you get a course in coffee and tasting (as the event dictates), but you will also have the opportunity to meet two of the nicest, genuine people I’ve come across in the coffee community in NYC. Did a coffee tasting with Sam and Gio centered around using a French press. Before Home Brew, I was winging it with my coffee; certain days resulted in decent cups while most days resulted in pretty undrinkable coffee. A consultation with Sam and Gio showed me that I don't have to spend $5 for a pretty good cup of coffee. Highly recommend checking them out!
