We stayed here for 4 nights and the location was good and there was a shuttle to and from the park. This dining was horrible! For my daughter and I to eat one breakfast at the buffet, which was nothing special, it was $90!!! A $15 gratuity was added for the 2 of us. Also the extra fees they charge are crazy. The bottle of water in the room was $12 and for every night you stay there is an additional $16.50 per night tourism fee. They nickel and dime you to death. It’s not worth the price. The hotel itself looks dated and could use new carpet and decor. And our room key only worked half the time and we were told to go back down to the lobby which was 16 floors down and get new keys. Bad service.

Very comfortable bed and spacious room. We had a great view of the pool from the 21st floor. Linda at the front desk was very great to us and very accommodating. The shuttle service was convenient and on time. We also thoroughly enjoyed the hydro-massage chairs near the lobby.

Good hotel with everything you could need. Rooms are nice with tea/coffee maker and a fridge. Nice big bathroom. Self parking is expensive at $50 per day. Within walking distance of universal studios theme park, but there is a free shuttle bus which runs frequently. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Recommended.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness by everyone—from valet to check-in. But the real heart of our stay was Linda at the front desk. She made us feel like family. She personally made sure we had a lovely room, walked us to breakfast, checked in on us, and made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. It honestly felt like she became a mom to me and a grandma to my kids. Her kindness brought me to tears—she was truly heaven-sent.

Aside from that, the hotel itself was perfect. It’s only a 5-minute walk to Universal Studios, which was incredibly convenient. The food was excellent—my picky eater had his first Hawaiian pizza here and actually loved it! The team even surprised my son with a cake, balloons, and a sweet card in our room. Bell services helped us with our things while we were rushing back to the park, and texting the staff for help was super easy and efficient.

The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the complimentary EV charging was a great bonus. Everything about this stay was smooth, thoughtful, and full of heart. We’re definitely coming back—not just because of the location, food, or amenities—but because of the people. Especially Linda. Thank you, Hilton, for making this one of the best family trips we’ve ever had. 🥹

We stayed here one night before our drive back north from LA. While it was a brief stay, I have to commend the staff as everyone was so friendly and helpful across the property. We were blessed with an upgrade for the night and it was truly the icing on the cake for the end of our trip. We will absolutely be back next time we visit for Universal studios.

I always enjoy staying at the Universal City Hilton. It's so convenient to walk to the theme park and it's centrally located to the things I like to do in LA. The views of Universal Studios are so amazing!||The room was very nice with a few pictures that capture the flavor of Hollywood. Because I have Digital Key, I could skip the front desk, so I didn't really interact with many employees, other than at the restaurant. The Digital Key also worked like a charm in the parking structure.||The breakfast buffet was good, but I remember them having different kind of potatoes in the past. It wasn't too busy, so all the egg dishes were made to order, rather than a hotel pan already filled with scrambled eggs. The gentleman working the egg station also could make made-to-order waffles and pancakes.||I can't wait until my next visit to the Universal City Hilton!

From the 18th floor we could see all the lights across the SF Valley as well as some of the Universal studios park - really fun. The next day it was a very easy walk into Universal Studios, leaving our car parked at the hotel. We felt very safe returning to the hotel that night after dinner at the City Walk. This was a great hotel choice, staying before and after our long day in the park - it made it so easy.

My family and I love this hotel and choose it whenever possible for our visits to Universal Studios. If you are able to book ahead a few months, you really can get some great rates.

The good:
You will be at Universal Studios/CityWalk in five minutes - a very easy and quick walk.
The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating.
The rooms are a nice size with a good refrigerator/freezer combo.
Good room service.
Good restaurant/bar area for all meals downstairs.
Good gift shop with necessities.
Water bottle refill station right off the elevators.
Nice hotel overall.

The not so good:
Parking is expensive ($50 per day).
Check-in lines can be long.
Some rooms can be a bit loud for light sleepers like me, so best to call and ask for a quieter area if this is a problem.
