- getting the charges reduced
- was very knowledgeable with the local laws and regulations

The Park County Court jerked me around pretty badly, trying to slap me with bogus charges and keeping me in the dark on simple things such as qualifying for a public defender. After being forced to make the drive to Fairplay twice from Longmont, I was devastated to hear that they would not provide a public defender. I told them I could not afford the $4000-4500 that I was quoted for legal representation. They did not care (surprise). Ehren Penix was in court that day, and actually took time out of his busy schedule to talk to me. He was very understanding about my financial situation, and later quoted me a price that was about half of what others were quoting. In the end, my case was dismissed and he ended up billing me for LESS than what was quoted! I could not be happier with the results.
