I won’t go into the minuit details of my experience with this company, as it’s a lengthy account and not worth my further attention. However, I would like to leave the following for those considering/purchased Handbid's software.

1) If you were quoted or paid anywhere from $8k to $24k for their package, plus ongoing monthly software fees, I’m really sorry. There are far superior (and/or equal) options out there for a fraction of the price.

2) As I was weighing my options, Handbid used the "take-away sales pitch" on me. Big mistake. This kind of tactic can backfire when a customer is already questioning the value.

3) Be cautious if you're dealing with Jeff. He may put on a great show, but when it came to my inquiries, he was unprofessional, then followed up with sending an atrocious (non)apology.

4) At the very least, I trust Handbid will read this, thus, it should be viewed as a constructive reprimand. It serves as a clear example of how ineffective leadership can negatively impact a company. Unfortunately, it even cost an employee her commission due to poor management decisions.

5) Trust your gut. If something feels off, don’t ignore it. I'm not sure when victim-blaming customers became a thing in our culture, but it's happening people.

Do not use this company. We canceled after our first year and was told it was canceled. Then they auto-renewed us later that year, and when they charged us the auto-renewal, it was the first we’d been notified that it was going to happen. No matter what we said, since it was after the deadline of their “policy”, they would not refund our $800. Even though we didn’t use it and never planned on using it, and even though we had been told it was canceled. Terrible, terrible reps to boot that treated us like we were 5 years old. If I could leave zero stars I would. Buyer beware of predatory auto-renewal policies.

To my fellow customers, I have never met a more generous, intelligent, and insightful company when it comes to revenue generation in the non-profit space than Handbid. Each member of the Handbid Team has empowered our organization to raise over a quarter of a million dollars in just the last few years. I interact with Handbid’s staff almost monthly, and I am never disappointed in how they appreciate our organization and treat us. In my personal and professional opinion, they are the best at what they do in regards to their platform, customer service, and inspiring our organization to be the best at what we do. I can’t thank Handbid enough for all they do!

I have used Handbid as both a PTA Member Chairing an auction, and as a bidding guest at many auctions, and in both instances, I have had only wonderful experiences. As a school auction chair, the Handbid software was incredibly easy to use and the support we received from the Handbid team was fantastic. We transitioned our school from paper bidding sheets to Handbid and we faced a lot of resistance initially. Our first year using Handbid was a huge success. Not only did we raise a lot more money, the check-in/check-out process was a breeze and everyone loved the technology on their phones.

I have attended many auctions over the years, and have used several different platforms. Handbid's was the most intuitive, user friendly and "fun" by far. I am always happy to see the Handbid logo when I am signing up to attend an auction event.
