RESPONSE TO THE OFFICE: I havenāt gave much detail about my health. You Reviewed my chart online before my appointment yet the office lady NOR the doctor knew anything about me or my health because you both discussed it outside the again, OPEN DOOR right beside where you were standing in the window. You (Iām assuming Kim) didnāt know because you said so and the doctor told you AND she told me when she came in the room that you forgot to get them and she would find out from me herself but neither of you discussed it. So while yes it was listed on my record you werenāt actually aware it was there until I mentioned it in my email or the online message I sent in the portal. So that is a false claim you are making that you were aware of it before I arrived vs what actually happened in that office. I also how like how you didnāt address the other issues in your reply trying to save face. I have nothing against the doctor or staff. Letās take accountability though for how you are conducting appointments and staff is handling things though. Doors need to be shut, if you need to leave the room then make sure the door is closed when you have a patient bent over the table. Letās also make sure we discuss the medications seeing as you reviewed them beforehand supposedly (you didnāt), and also letās not have private conversations about the doctors daughter going off to school or wherever having private PERSONAL conversations when you have a patient sitting in the room. Iād had already been waiting there for 45 minutes by the time I got taken back.
I gave 2 stars because the initial visit was okay. The staff was friendly, Dr Toker herself was friendly to deal with. However there were a few things I wasnāt too comfortable with and Iām upset about from my visit on 9/10/24 at 9:30am.
- I was put in a room with the door left open. I could hear her having personal conversation right there leaving me sitting there.
- Nobody ever got or confirmed my medications I took. I heard Iām assuming Kim state she never got them from me to the doctor. I sent them over AFTER the visit even though I had already provided them when I filled out my info online. They didnāt seem to be aware of them.
- During the exam she needed more gloves and left me bent over, while I was covered with a cover at the waist and the curtain got half pulled. The door was not closed completely so I felt a little uncomfortable with that, being that my pants were around my ankles.
- I was provided an ointment in office that cost me $55 if I paid in cash and $60 using a debit card so I guess I was paying their debit card fee but also found out I could get a prescription which would have saved me $40-$50 instead of me paying for this unlabeled, UNSEALED tube of Nitroglycerin ointment. Which to be honest makes me uncomfortable when I discovered the next day when I went to start using it that itās not even sealed closed so I refuse to even use it.
- I also deal with BP issues and Nitroglycerin shouldnāt really be being used for patients dealing with BP issues. There are other safer options I could use.
- Iāve tried calling the doctors office twice, sent an email, and sent a message through the portal concerning the medications I take and using this ointment. I received a response back from Kim stating thanks to receiving my medication list (which again I already had on file when I created my online account) but no acknowledgment about my concern of interaction or using an ointment not sealed. I would prefer to return the ointment but being itās NOT SEALED I know they wouldnāt take it back so Iām just SOL and out of $60.
- I have a follow up in 6 weeks but donāt know that Iāll be back. Iāve attached a picture of what I received from them for ointment.
