They represent the landlord of a condo we ended up renting. The apartment was listed as no fees, but when I reached out for a showing they kept saying no agent was available. As soon as we hired an agent, who charged broker's fees for this transaction, a showing was scheduled. At the showing, the apartment appeared to be filthy and in need of repairs, but Douglas Elliman told us this would be professionally cleaned and fixed before our move in. They did not do any of that, but instead left the apartment filthy and full of the last tenant's trash, including dirty underwear and toilet brush. They also left a huge box for their cardboard furniture and we had to dispose it on our own. Also, they did not tell us that we needed to get the keys from their office in downtown, and made me travel 30 minutes each way on the train on our move in day to get the keys, causing us great emotional distress. So far we have not received even an apology for their unprofessional behavior.

UPDATE: the DE agent who's in charge of selling/renting this apartment reached out to me personally after I posted this review. He reimbursed us for the cleaning costs and travel expenses. If what he said was true, that the landlord is supposed to have the apartment cleaned and not the agent, I appreciate him taking up the responsibilities and trying to make up for us.

Melissa was extremely accommodating although I showed up for my meeting a lot earlier than scheduled. Mrs. True was extremely kind and openminded towards helping and making sure I was satisfied with the options.
