I recently purchased my first plane. DNT has been more helpful than I ever imagined. From regular maintenance to helping me find a strobe lens replacement at the last minute before a check ride they have gone above and beyond. Their prices for parts and labor are very fair as well. Highly Recommend!

I had 2 flat tires in 1 week. A nail in the 1st one taken care of by Springs Aviation at KFLY. 4 flights and 1 week later another flat tire in Grand Junction due to debris on the runway.

DNT did professional / quality work. The problem is the work was overpriced.

First flat tire was $75 for the tube & $75 for the labor - total: $150.

DNT did the exact same thing, however, they suggested replacing the tire. Their total was $600. That is 4x the price for the exact same amount of labor and same part + a $164 tire.

Basically I was an opportunity to overcharge since I was not a local. This kind of business practice is questionable and others should be aware of this before they conduct business.

I absolutely trust the work performed and am glad they were able to get me on my way, however, it would have actually been cheaper to fly back on the flat tire and replace everything then to have them complete the repair there.

Also, I never received the initial invoice but did get a "Reminder Notice" which is how I was able to see the bill and pay them.

Update: In rebuttal I would question why it took 2 people to change a tire and how that work amounted to 2.6 hours of labor. The rate quoted above is more per hour and took less than 1/2 an hour complete.

During my annual in early 2022 there was tremendous attention to detail. Since it was a certified aircraft (1967 Piper PA-28 180) parts did take time to locate and receive but I learned that is the way it goes when you have a certified aircraft. I have enjoyed the peace of mind flying my aircraft knowing that it was thoroughly gone through with meticulous scrutiny.
