My experience with Digital Main Street fell completely short. While my initial experience working with Yassmin and Tori was impeccable, once it came to receiving the funding it has been a horrid experience. When you first start the program, it seems easy and quick, I have no been in it since May and it has only cost me money. Yassmin was brilliant in showing me how an ecommerce could support our business growth so we decided to take part. First you watch these videos which they say is about 10 hours, and if your like me and don't usually deal with the tech stuff it was closer to 30. Then your rep helps you create a template to APPROVE what you are spending and the vendors you are spending it with. This took an additional week or so.

From there you are told hey go get this ecommerce, spend $2400 and CDAP will reimburse you as long as you spend it the way they approved.

Not only did Cecile, decide to accuse me of working at shut down business, and at then vendor's business but has chosen not to respond when I explained, the clerical errors. That, I pay the vendor a maintenance and support fee it covers my hosting, domain, and emails. After 2 weeks and 5 emails, I felt I had no choice but to warn other restaurant owners that this is a HUGE WASTE OF TIME. I spent weeks completely their "training" and completing the application to get 0 responses on the status of my applications funding.

Het provided knowledgable guidance and support through the entire process and continues to do so as we build out enhancements. I regret to say that my experience with Digital Main Street in facilitating the CDAP Grant has been nothing short of disappointing. Despite their initial promise of providing funding within one to two weeks after submission, the actual reimbursement process dragged on for over four months. This extended period was filled with incessant follow-ups and a complete lack of communication and guidance from their end.

The lack of clear directions and the absence of timely updates made the entire process unnecessarily stressful and frustrating. It felt as though their primary intention was to extract more money from us rather than genuinely support our business needs.

This experience has left me with a strong conviction that Digital Main Street, and by extension, government-affiliated programs, do not have the best interests of society at heart. Based on my ordeal, I cannot in good faith recommend their services to anyone.

I hope my review serves as a cautionary tale for others considering engaging with Digital Main Street.

Jane also worked with me so that I understood how to manage my website going forward. I was so happy to find Digital Main Street. Thank you to Digital Main street for helping me set up a website with online store. Before 2022 we were a take out restaurant that closed due to rising costs of take out containers, products, etc. We thought all was lost until Olga contacted us about DMS. We were able to change our business model with a website reflecting what we were up to. Previously, our website had high costs associated and hadn't changed since we opened in 2015. It is great having a free website that I can change and update almost DAILY. Mohamad designed a beautiful and succinct website and online store that really reflected our brand. He also taught me how to update and make changes as we grow. Sukhvir walked me through understanding my responsibilities with cyber-security and made it fun to learn. I cannot thank DMS enough for getting our products out there and making me feel in control of our website/store.

I was linked up with April, a great Coordinator for their "ShopeHERE" program, that helps Entrepreneurs launch an online store.
April was a pleasure to work with for the entire duration of the program, and most importantly, we finished a website.

April was definitely a huge help at this point in my entrepreneurial journey and career, and I don't think I could have designed, set up, and launched an online store without her.

I can not say enough about my experience with Anannya and Digital Main St. She has been so patient with me in explaining how my website works and guiding me though getting it set up properly. She is a true professional. This is an excellent and flexible program for working business people who just need some extra help with their websites. Lets be real....the hosting platforms are great and all but while they strive to be user friendly, often there are multiple layers to the set up and features that noobs don't understand. everything was explained to me in terms I could understand and all of the information is still available to me after the program is over. Great experience, highly recommend.
