I had a great experience here today. The receptionist was named Ireland and she was super nice and scheduled me for an eye exam the same day.
Dr.Sadie Sholl was super attentive and walked me through everything since it’s been a very long time since I’ve gotten an eye exam. I’ve never had such a good experience during an eye exam before. I told her that in the past my eyes have had a hard time adjusting to the lenses. She made sure that I was comfortable with the prescription that she prescribed and even had me walk around the room with a pair of metal glasses to see how I felt and made sure that I was happy with the prescription. I will definitely be back here for my future eye exams!

I had an amazing experience at Custom Eyes. They were able to fix a pair of glasses I thought were done and needed to be tossed. The employee I worked with was super friendly and took the time to get them as good as new again. My wife was also blown away by the experience of coming here after years of going to Pearle Vision. They have an excellent selection of eclectic frames and were super easy to work with for insurance. Thankful to have this wonderful shop in the neighborhood.

Disappointed with the lack of professionalism in customer service by office management, and front desk. Went in for a standard eye exam + contacts and was charged $100, which included random charges I’ve never paid for in prior visits or at any other office. The service was standard and didn’t include anything out of the ordinary. They insisted they have some of the lowest prices, though this is the most I have ever paid for an annual exam in the last 20+ years. Save your money and go elsewhere. I wanted to support small local business as I was a returning customer, but they actually have 8 locations, so they’re not that small.

I absolutely loved my visit here. Making an appointment online was so quick and easy; I was able to schedule an exam for the following day. Staff was so accommodating both during and leading up to my visit — it was super easy to submit insurance info online and over the phone, but I also felt so cared for with each and every person I interacted with during my exam. Phenomenal service and immaculate frames, I cannot wait to be back in a few weeks to pick up my new glasses!

Bad customer service.
At first I thought it could be me, but then I read how others pointed out the same about their staff’s customer service.

They said they “called” my insurance to check my coverage, but then they changed their mind and said that they do not “accept” my provider. The insurance provider said they never filed a claim. They were just lazy.

I feel like everyone posts reviews when they are negative and never when they are positive. So I happy to give a well deserved positive review. The girl that checked me was sweet and very helpful. She knew what my insurance covered and did a nice job of helping me stay within my budget. That has never happened to me, at my previous eye doctor. They actually would get upset if I passed on glasses.
The doctor was wonderful, she was so thorough and detailed. She checked my old glasses that I use for driving and my computer glasses, and I since my prescription had not changed much, she didn’t push me into new glasses. I LOVE THAT! I get that it’s a business but if I don’t need new glasses don’t push me to replace them, it’s more important to have a happy customer leave and return than to push a sale but lose a customer. This is a great location, I will continue to come here and will purchase all my future glasses from Custom Eyes in Logan Square!

These folks are really the best. Though I don't have vision insurance, they still billed my normal insurance through some clever way to get my exam discounted. The frames they have in store are works of art. I cannot wait to come back to get new glasses. The whole staff was so nice and fun to chat with.

If you're still going to Warby Parker, it's time to support small businesses doing the thing with integrity. Don't sleep on these cats!
