I cannot say enough positive things about Creature Comfort. Nancy and Amy made the process easy from the start. They organized the therapy dog visit to our school, and students had an awesome time. It truly made their day, and provided an unbelievable experience for them. The dogs were great from start to finish, and their "humans" were very gracious to all students. We cannot wait for our next visit! Thank you so much!

I have been lucky enough to be a pet therapy team for CCPT with my Great Dane, Keena, since 2018 and more recently volunteering with my Himalayan cat, Birdie. CCPT has a great app/website for teams to schedule visits, a super helpful staff and the best volunteers. I am thrilled to have discovered them with my second Therapy Dane. CCPT really helps us make a difference.

I have been volunteering with my rabbit (Smokey) for just a little over a year now ( I joined in 2022), and I have nothing but positive things to say about Creature Comfort Pet Therapy! I'm going to start with how kind and guiding everyone I've met is. For example, if I have a question, someone will answer in a timely manner or even help me to understand better. They are patient, kindhearted, and understanding. They all have each other's back, and that's what you want to see in an organization!

While on visits, I can't tell you how many times I've heard:

"I really needed this today."

"Visiting with the therapy animals always puts a smile on my face."

"I always look forward to these visits."

Scientific studies have even shown that animals have a positive impact on health and healing.

Connecting with the community:
Smokey has even had people requesting to visit with him! There's been a time or two Smokey hadn't been able to make his regular visit, and they were asking if Smokey is coming, where he may be, or even if he's okay. You really do get to know the community, and it makes me happy to know that as part of a wonderful organization, such a positive impact you could make on someone's day. Volunteering with Comfort Pet Therapy has to be one of the best decisionsive I've ever made, and I think it's safe to say Smokey feels that way as well!

I was certified with my first dog in 2022 and now with my second in 2023. I have truly felt as if I’m part of the amazing CCPT family. The difference we are making and comfort we bring to those who need it gives me so much gratitude for what we as volunteers do. If you are in need for a pet therapy visit, don’t hesitate to reach out. We are not just dogs, we have wonderful rabbits, cats, a mini pony and a pair of goats! You won’t be disappointed 🙂

This is the 2nd year that Creature Comfort Pet Therapy has come to River Vale’s Safety Town, which is a camp for incoming kindergartners. They do an amazing job teaching the kids how to be safe around pets. And the kids absolutely love petting the therapy dog!

Great organization to be part of! High tech and easily sign up for events! Send reminders with all info included! No need to spend time scheduling and Duke loves his birthday card. Highly recommend! Even keep track of our hours for us. And there’s an app for this too!!

Our middle school therapy dog event went very well! We collected some data which shows that on a scale of 1 to 5, students rated themselves at a 3.36 on average before participating in the therapy dog event and at a 4.8 on average after participating. Thanks so much for bringing some sunshine to our community on this cloudy day!
