This office is very caring and understanding. I see Dr. Ames he is the best in my book. This office do not work like others. Drs site down and explain everything to you to make sure you understand. There’s always some one in the office to help you if you are in needed.

I have had trouble with the front office staff making my medical decisions. She told me Dr. Ames cannot do something but when I saw him he does it for me. last week Kim would not ask Dr. Ames if I could have a blood test for my liver high enzymes . Instead she sent me to the office manager who refused a blood test saying it was too soon and Dr. Ames could not justify it. but I’d already had one on August 14 and August 21. said Blue Cross would not pay Guess I’ll have to have a “come to Jesus” talk with Dr. Ames. I reported them before for not letting me talk to him. Have been his patient for 20 years.

Dr. Stierman has been my PCP since 1990 as insurance has allowed. He listens, observes, assesses, prescribes and is very meticulous with his strategies of treatment. The more you talk he listens and knows and assesses behavior.
He tells me like it is whether I like it or not, but is not rude. We've had a few laughs. Awesome physician, but all business.

Melanie Hansel: I usually get therapy for my back twice a week and Dr Ames my PCP gives me a script for 12 visits and my insurance will cover it with a co-pay. So Kim the medical assistant called and stated that Dr James Ames will not give me any more referral’s to Ortho Arizona for physical therapy because it is not helping me. This is not true. It helps the pain in my lower back. I cannot exercise because my right knee is bone on bone and I get physical therapy for my knee also. I cannot get either surgery until I lose the weight and lower my BMI. Without therapy I will be in a lot more pain. I have an appointment with Dr William Stevens assistant Amy to see if they can give me a referral for my back.

Staff is very rude and mistreated my 82 year old mother multiple times. She asked me to go to her appointments with her due to the staff mistreating her. She also complained about constantly running out of medications she has taken for years. The final straw was when they did this with her blood pressure medication. Phoenix heart stepped in and wrote another prescription after the staff refused to call one her for her without an appointment.

Nurse practitioner Marsha seemed very unfamiliar with birth control options and did not give me any sort of options and did not educate me on the differences between medications. I've been told by countless people to talk to my doctor about birth control and when I went in to talk to her, she seemed to rush through it and didn't listen to my concerns. Have decided not to come back to this doctors office because of my multiple bad experiences with patient care.

Doctor Lee Frankel has been my doctor since 1993 and he is an amazing physician. He takes time to listen and give an educated diagnosis. He shows care and compassion for his patients.

Dr Stierman is a stereotypical doctor, knows everything & pompous. I simply ask about not giving my dad anymore medication, & he preaches that doctors don't just throw medications @patients. He was so defensive, like I was accusing him of that. But wait, he knows every doctor..? No doctor is throwing medication at their patients? He said "we" base our recommendations on science. Although the science, he dictates like a telemarketer, was probably fed to him by the pharmaceutical rep in a sexy business suit.. You suck, Mr Stierman. You're not a doctor, you're a business man. U use condescension to recommend, or persuade rather. Try listening & communicating.. That's free advice, but someone who knows everything probably doesn't take any advice..
