We’ve a fantastic experience with C2 Education (in Edison, NJ) ! The support in SAT has made a huge difference in my child’s academic performance as well as confidence.
The tutors / teachers are patient, engaging, and clearly explaining the concepts. The quality of study material and SAT tests are very good. The staff (especially Rita) is friendly, professional, helpful and supportive.
I highly recommend this center to any parent looking for high-quality tutoring in core subjects!

It has been a pleasure working with Desiree from C2 Edison during last few months. We were looking for guidance for our son, who is in high school for steps to prepare for college admissions and were fortunate to sign up with C2 Edison. Desiree is awesome and gives right guidance to prepare step by step towards SAT and college admissions. Her inputs have always been valuable and she takes time in every session to make sure all questions are answered.

My experience at C2, especially with the Desiree, the center director, has been incredible. C2 is wonderful place for SAT , the teachers are so good , they are very experienced and knew how to work with students .The directors are easy to communicate and always willing to help for any questions . Both of my kids took classes there and improved a lot . And, they both did well in SAT test . One is 1510 , one is1550. I am very happy with their service .

Parents, think twice before sending your child here! C2 Education is a for-profit business that prioritizes sales over students and rakes in millions of dollars each year. The center director is purely money-minded and is only concerned about meeting her sales targets for the month. She was very pushy in getting my husband to sign our daughter up. Before one could begin tutoring lessons, C2 forces you to sign a lengthy contract. We, like many others, were told tutoring hours never expire—a BIG FAT LIE! Buried in the fine print was an expiration date. C2 will say anything to get you to sign your child up. I’ve heard from a former center director at a different C2 location that tutoring hours were once honored indefinitely despite what the contract actually said, until one day C2’s corporate office sent out an email saying an expiration on tutoring hours must be enforced. Completely unethical way of doing business.

As for tutoring—it SUCKS! Some tutors are great, but others are god awful. Sessions last 2 hours with 3 students per tutor, leaving my daughter stuck doing bookwork with minimal interaction. She hated it and got nothing out of it.

C2 is among the most expensive tutoring options, with some families spending upwards of $20K. For that price, you'd be better off hiring a private tutor for actual one-on-one attention.

Don't like C2 and want a refund? Good luck! C2 will ignore calls and emails, drag its feet, and, if you're lucky, refund only a tiny fraction of what you paid.

Lastly, beware of fake 5-star reviews. Don’t be fooled. After every negative review, there's a sudden burst of suspiciously similar positive ones, often from accounts with just one review. Case in point—after a previous negative review, a wave of glowing reviews suddenly praised “Rob’s essay writing.” 🤣

For the real truth about C2, check reviews on Trustpilot (3-star average), the Better Business Bureau (F rating, unaccredited), and Yelp (1-star average). Attached are screenshots of a C2 center director job description emphasizing sales over education and Glassdoor/Indeed reviews exposing the reality from employees themselves. A former C2 center director even admitted on Indeed they were ‘trained to fool the customer to buy more hours.’

Notice how C2 responds to negative reviews with the same canned response. As I stated in my review, C2 has ignored calls and emails. Also, their customer support email doesn’t work. Every time my husband emailed, he got an error message back. I know others who’ve faced this issue as well, so it’s not a one-off incident. My question is has it ever worked? Or do you just want to give customers the impression that you care?

C2 has been an amazing experience. They managed to help me receive a score of 1490 on the SAT. The and tutors have fully kept up to my expectations in their program to fully support my SAT objectives and college decisions. Their knowledge of other programs that enhanced my profiles to share with colleges has been soo valueable. If you're looking for an opportunity to support your a good college development I highly recommend you consider C2.

Originally signing up for the SAT prep course, I spent the better part of my junior and senior year at C2. While this SAT course increased my score by over 300 points and allowed me to stay on track and reach my target, I would say the most valuable part of C2 is within their college counseling services. The work that Rob, my college essay tutor, put into taking my abstract ideas and focusing them into a proper CommonApp was incredible. I began my college writing classes with no idea what to discuss, and slowly began to open up new perspectives that I had never previously considered through his approach. Rob allowed me to create an authentic essay in my voice that I felt proud of, and was always there to help with any questions or additional supplements. I fully recommend the college essay services at C2, and if you have the opportunity, definitely work with Rob!
