I apologize in advance for my lengthy review. My two star rating has nothing to do with the space I rented. I am a repeat customer, and up until now, I've had no issues whatsoever renting from the Bogota VFW. The woman I left my deposit with at the bar (I can't remember her name) was very friendly. Unfortunately, Janet is the reason for my two star rating. On the day of my event, I was told to leave my remaining balance with the night attendant (Janet). She was not there at the time, so my fiance and I left the Bogota to change clothes for our engagement party after hours of decorating. Our party started at 7; we were coming in at 8:00-8:30 to make an entrance. While we were getting ready at the hotel, we were overwhelmed with phone calls from at least five of our guests who informed us that our party was in danger of being shut down because the balance that we had in our possesion was not paid. We planned to pay it to the night attendant upon our arrival. When we arrived, several of my guests, including my two sisters who were hosting, were very upset and they all had the same complaint; Janet was extremely rude. She followed one of my sisters around the hall threatening to shut the lights off (her words were, "cutting the power off usually gets results")  because she "had to be paid." One of my guests had to pay our balance while we were on our way to the party just to get her off of our backs. I have never experienced such embarrassment & unprofessionalism at the Bogota VFW. My fiance and I would not book a hall we didn't intend to pay for. I understand that an event at this hall has to be paid before the event, and I TRIED to pay it before the event. If there was an issue, me or my fiance should have been notified. Both of our phone numbers were provided. Involving our guests was tacky and totally uncalled for. Janet is rude, extremely unprofessional, and she caused us a lot of unnecessary stress and frustration on what was supposed to be a happy occasion.

I was here to attend the baby shower. The venue is very big. It was able to accommodate about 50 people, maybe more(just eyeballing it, don't qoute me on capacity) and sever tables for food . Huge space

Nice place to have a party. Restrooms are clean. The halls are big and well designed for a party. Enough parking spots outside.

The loud noise comming from this place at 2 AM is a disgrace. I thought it was illegal to have such noise after 10 pm . Wuy should this place even supported with its disturbance to its neighbors
