Its my toddler’s favorite place, he enjoyed looking at the birds and the Bay. He always ask us to take him there and he always discovers new things by meeting friendly dogs and spotting the fishes and ducks in water. Its a kids friendly place but of course you always keep an eye on your kids and stay by their side

Having been down this road many times, I have see a bunch of progression in renovations and such. Always a great walk, be it solo or with that special someone. This most recent time was for the the Benicia Waterfront Festival. Great turn out.

Benicia is such a charming town. Shops and restaurants line the area. The buildings are historic and Victorian. A public trail lies behind the town houses. You can view the bay, Mt. Diablo to the south, Carquinez Bridge to the west. The temperate climate is great for a variety of plants. Vanta Garden lies on sexond steet A short walk spans the marina to downtown. The streets are clean with many water bowls for dogs. Benicia state park is nearby and you can walk to the bridge from there. I found a house on Second and H street with beautiful roses.

Fishing pier at the turnabout at the end of 1st street. Small beach. Dog friendly. Great view of Carquinez strait. Port Costa across the river. Martinez also upriver. Sailboats occasionally pass as well as ships to n fro. Amtrak tracks across the river, trains pass. Quiet, breezy at times. But mainly calm place to pass the time?

I would strongly recommend families to visit this place. Scarecrow festival was well organised even during COVID TIME. Open space festival but pretty close to restaurants. This town is awesome . It has fun thing for all age group. Took 4 hours from Oakland. Shops, gas stations and restaurants are with in 3 mile drive. 2 hours drive from San Diego. Good hotels with fun package. Moon beach is nearby. Parking is not a problem. Washrooms are clean. Friendly Californians.
