Because I have almost a TB of photos on my iMac, I'd moved the Photos app folder to an external SSD drive to save space on my Mac. Somehow the SSD drive became corrupted and I could not access my photos, including tons of old family pictures and images of my son growing up. I was devastated to think they might all be lost. Once my external hard drive (of 10+ years) finally gave out on me & refused to mount onto my desktop, my heart sank since a decade's worth of mementos and work files had seemingly vanished (note to self: back up files in multiple places)! So of course, I went on a frenzied search to find a data recovery service that could be reliable & reasonable in price. All of these reviews are spot-on, and now I'm happy to chime in on what a pleasure it was to resolve my hard drive issue with Daniel. First – because ASAP accepts walk-ins, I was able to meet with Daniel in person to explain the situation & he was very kind, patient, and attentive. Then, I left my drive with them to be diagnosed at no charge – and for the next couple weeks, Daniel was very communicative along every step of the way.

When they finally diagnosed the issue & offered steps to fully recover my data, I was floored to learn that payment was only due if recovery is successful AND if I were satisfied with the results (also providing an opportunity to review & verify the results via an online server before officially transferring onto a device). Otherwise, they give you a choice to simply walk away - no questions asked. And on top of this, Daniel & his manager were kind enough to honor a couple of discounts/coupons to help work within my budget.

Because they had taken extra steps to maintain communication & ensure my comfort in this process, I gave them the green light to proceed – and as promised, my files were thoroughly recovered and ready for review online. After everything looked good, I then brought a new hard drive to them (the original malfunctioning one gets properly disposed) for the actual transfer & completed payment.

Everything was easy, hassle-free, and gave me a sense of hope that if anything like this were to happen again – I could come to Daniel & the good folks at ASAP Data Recovery to come to the rescue! Would definitely recommend to others!

I was very happy with my experience with ASAP Recovery. The quote was very reasonable. The Geek Squad at Best Buy was quoting me over $2,000. That was crazy expensive.
