While I appreciate your response, it's disheartening that you still conveniently overlook the blatant bias against older people (I subtracted a star for that one); and the fact that it has been an astonishing six years since my encounters with Startup Junkie. In that period, I relocated my business to the East Coast, assembled an exceptional team, and transformed my product into a thriving national brand.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
My experience with Startup Junkie (SJ) has been a missed opportunity on multiple levels. While they claim to be open to anyone attending their meetings, seminars, and talks, it became evident during my interactions that SJ carries an implicit bias against individuals who don't fit the mold of traditional college-aged attendees or those who aren't interested in AI, machine learning, app development, and other tech-oriented business ideas.

Over the course of a year (between 2017-2018), I engaged with various people at SJ, all of whom made grand promises of connecting me with valuable resources, grant and loan opportunities, and mentorship. However, the disappointing reality is that, six years later, I am still waiting for all of these things to materialize. It's disheartening to see such potential go unfulfilled, and it reflects a significant missed opportunity for SJ to genuinely support and uplift entrepreneurs outside of their usual niche.

The final encounter I had with SJ encapsulated their bias perfectly. The last woman I spoke with implied that my age was an issue, suggesting that I might be better off seeking assistance from organizations that cater to more experienced clients. This attitude not only shows a lack of inclusivity but also demonstrates a missed chance for SJ to embrace a broader and more diverse clientele.

By restricting their focus to specific demographics and industries, SJ is overlooking the vast potential of collaborating with a wider range of entrepreneurs. Their implicit bias and inability to deliver on promised support have resulted in a missed opportunity for them to establish their name as a genuine champion for all aspiring business owners, regardless of age or industry focus.

One of the best-kept secrets in Arkansas. The services offered are extremely valuable for entrepreneurs still in the idea stage or those already running a business. Staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Their events are of high value and entertaining. Everyone on the staff has a heart for helping!
