FFI is by fare the best practical flying course I have been to. The instruction is top notch and professional. The add on courses coordinated with Inde Motorsports Park and Onidah Arms are incredibly in-depth and thorough. They over all course is amazing and well paced. I would recommend it to anyone looking to improve on the fundamentals.

Bottom line up front: best aviation course I have EVER taken. As a military aviator, you know you are trained to the bare minimum for success. This course helped to fill in some of those practical skills gaps. I completed their 11 day fundamentals course, and it was some of the best training I have ever attended. The Skyhawk was a blast to fly, the Baron was chill, but the Citabria took the cake. If you have never flown a conventional landing gear (taildragger) plane before, head this way. These instructors are the chillest, calmest, CFI’s I have ever seen. Calm, cool, and collected. Not a raised voice to be heard. If you want to learn in an easy, trainable, environment, come to FFI. I was only able to fly with the owner Mike once, and he was great, but shoutouts to Alex and Eric. Keep it classy boys. I hope to see you again soon!

The best flying school I've attended in my career. Mike and his team of CFIs exude professionalism, and genuinely care about instructing. They don't simply "go through the motions" like several other schools I've attended. They engage and tailor their instruction to the individual to ensure each students success. I count myself lucky for having been fortunate enough to get the chance to attend such a great course. If you are looking for any kind of aviation instruction, FFI is hands down the way to go!

If you want to learn to fly safe and properly this is the place to learn. The instructors are top notch and spend real time with you, at your pace to become a proficient private pilot. The training planes are all well kept with up-to-date features and avionics and are a joy to fly. If you really want to learn to fly with confidence this IS the place to learn!!

I went to Flight Fundamentals for Spin Training for my CFI certificate and had the pleasure of flying with Michael. I can say without a doubt that this flight was by far the most fun I’ve ever had in a plane. He was extremely knowledgeable and made the whole process so easy that it took all the weight off my shoulders. I would recommend anyone who is looking for any type of flight training to check them out. Excellent aircraft, clean facility, far better than any other place I’ve been to!!!!!

FFI instructors are the best you’ll find, from ground school in an up to date class room to actual flight instruction. They’ll have you prepared and ready weather your needing training to brush up your skills or getting ready for a check ride.

I completed my spin training with Mike for my CFI spin endorsement and it was a great experience! Mike was personable and easy to talk to. We reviewed important concepts and ran through a few practical scenarios and then went out and flew! It was a blast flying the Citabria for the first time. What Mike went over with me made me feel confident in the training and I’m extremely glad I was able to complete the endorsement with FFI. Looking forward to coming back for more courses!
