Today is my daughter’s (Julia) last day at the Apple Montessori School in Kinnelon NJ. I can’t say enough about the school and its staff.

Julia was only 3 years old when she started going to Apple Montessori. She was very shy and scared without mommy being in the same room as her. Mrs. Ray held her hand & offered her snacks to make sure she felt safe. From that day forward, I didn’t have to worry about how she will be in school. Julia was lucky to have Mrs. Ray for 2 years in a row. she took very good care of her, I know that because Julia came home and told me so herself. Mrs Ray & Ms. Lynch helped Julia boost up her confidence, that is how she came out of her shell and made plenty of friends.

Every adventures at the Apple Montessori school was exciting...from getting her blue folder as she turned 5 years old, to the international day, to pajamas day, to Halloween costume day & to going on field trips days.

Besides being very safe (safety drills every week) , the school has enough staff to pay attention to those kids that are either upset or needs help with putting their jackets on, etc.

School is very clean & neat..no complaints from this momma who’s OCD about cleanliness.

Julia and I will truly miss the Apple Montessori school in Kinnelon. She’s has many good memories from the relationship she has build with the students & the staff members.

I absolutely love Apple Montessori Kinnelon! My son has been with them since he was 2.5 and is thriving. The classes have all age groups mixed together so the younger children get fostered and helped by the older kids, creating a wonderful community feeling. It makes the little ones feel more at ease and gives the older children responsibilities that help them grow and mature. One thing I love is that each child is allowed to progress at their own speed. This helps avoid frustration with not being able to keep up with a school curriculum.
My child is special needs and this is probably the single best daycare to foster his development without making him feel left out or different at all.
We will remain with Montessori until he graduates and we also love the summer camp - especially with the daily swim lessons they offer.
Both regular school year as well as the summer months have long after school care, allowing the kids to play until the grownups get back from work. My son absolutely loves it there!!!

We enrolled our 2 year old son in Sept 2023. I went to a handful of different preschools and nothing quite stood out as much as Apple Montessori Kinnelon. The moment I walked through the school with director Mrs. Henkel I felt at ease. The school is safe, clean, welcoming and structured. They have wonderful programs, all of the teachers and staff are so kind and helpful. Our 2 year old son always comes home with a smile!They truly care for our son and I feel that we found a wonderful school. Our teacher Mrs. DeCelles is wonderful, caring and a fabulous educator. Our aid Ms. Marz is my sons “school mommy.” He loves her deeply. You can tell she really cares for him and therefore built a bond. We are so happy we decided to go with Apple Montessori Kinnelon.

This school is one of the worst schools to send to if your child is of color. They will make your child feel less of themselves all due to their skin color. My daughter was never included in trips or activities and theyd never have a valid answer as to why. I reported multiple incidents and nothing was ever done. I paid the tuition fee (full time) which was not cheap plus camera access (which I was never provided with) and extra for after care and my daughter was STILL not treated like the rest. Staff members began to notice the different treatment my daughter would get and report it to me because they felt horrible having to follow their “protocols” .. teachers were even punished for bringing it to my attention. This entire schools administrators are just corrupt. Down to the director and assistant director. My daughter is now questioning why she isn’t lighter with lighter hair because this school just brainwashed her to think her complexion was a problem.

We absolutely loved our experience at Apple. Our daughter learned so much and was always excited to go to school. The teachers address the needs of the whole child. For example, not only are they learning academic skills, but basic life skills such as putting on pieces of clothing, or cleaning up after themselves, etc. The classroom atmosphere allows the child to choose different activities while fostering independent thinking. Teachers and classroom aides are always on hand to assist or redirect students as needed. The teachers and staff pay close attention to each and every child, whether or not that child is a member of their own class. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Apple Montessori!

I am thrilled with Apple Montessori in Kinnelon. Mrs. Ray, Herrera, Lynch and the entire classroom staff have been outstanding. They are compassionate, caring, talented and professional. Mrs. Barakat and the front office staff have been communicative, open and patient with the many questions that I've had. The field trip that I was able to attend provided memories that I will cherish forever. My son has developed and learned so much over the last 2 years at Apple and I know that a huge reason for this is the nurturing support, guidance and education he received from the entire staff. With his K graduation fast approaching, I am filled with bittersweet emotions, but I am overjoyed at the choice we made with this school. Thank you will never be enough!

Mrs. Ray and Mrs. Lynch are the best. My son LOVES them and they've really helped him come out of his shell. I've seen his confidence and personality blossom in the 8 months he spent at this school. He will be attending Kindergarten there next year.

Our son was expelled after two months of starting, according to them due to his behavior and justifying that his school was not the right one for our son. Can you believe what a parent can feel in this situation, when they spent time looking for the first school for their 3-year-old son? we decided to enroll him in another montessori school, after a year, our son has not had any incident, he follows instructions, he takes his nap without any problem, at Apple it was terrifying for him to take a nap. Unfortunately our bad experience was due to the poor preparation of Apple teachers and directors, with this situation we expected accompaniment to help our son in his process, in exchange, we received rejection, no solidarity and the expulsion of our little one.
