Be forewarned. I wish I had never used the AmeriCord registry!
Medically, AmeriCord plausibly altered the process in which I could improve my health and wellness.

From the very beginning what I was told and promised did not happen.
I told AmeriCord from the very beginning due to the immediate medical intervention the cord needed to be Cryobanked immediately after birth according to the medical advice I received, to have the optimal health benefit.
I told AmeriCord if they can't process as I requested then I have an alternate.
I was assured that everything could be done as requested and even more!!!

They did not pick it up from the hospital as promised (They did not show up immediately as they promised) and what I was told.

Time sensitive!
To ensure the best quality of stem cells, the cord should be transported to the blood bank immediately and !completely processed within the 48 hour window! I was told 'to call' immediately after the 'baby is born'. ~ AmeriCord would have it picked up 'immediately'.
AmeriCord did not pick up the package from the hospital for over 8 hours after the birth.
The baby was not born in the same state the company resides in. The company is in Jersey.
According to current medical practice, you have no more than a few hours after birth to collect cord blood for cryo preservation, as the optimal time for collection is immediately following delivery, ideally within the first few minutes after the baby is born.

At first when I received a call I was surprised and felt okay.
The company stepped up and gave me the perception they were taking responsibility for a major screw up and promised that from that point forward that I would have (I was promised) direct access to one particular person.
I was extremely disappointed it did not turn out as promised. It did not turn out as guaranteed.
I called the company multiple times and emailed as well. They tried to make it seem as though I was being a problem but in reality...
I was, more casually known as, 'ghosted'. The company was evasive, non-responsive, and uncommunicative. Not only to me but also to the doctor who 'was: going to give me, stem cell treatment. Because of their lack of assistance I didn't get the treatment.
It's exhausting.

To be honest! I think they totally screwed up in the processing and they don't want to admit it.
They gave me a refund of what I paid ... And they promised to bank it for one year. I was guaranteed everything was processed as promised but to date I still have not received any of the paperwork that I've asked for to show that it was processed as I was told it would be and as I was promised it would be.

To date, still nobody will respond to any telephone call or email that I send.

Do not trust this company!!!!!!!!!

We researched many companies before we chose AmeriCord. Our rep Jas was so informative and personable, and readily available for all the questions I had prior to us making our decision. As a nurse, I was impressed with the knowledge on all the available options for preserving our daughter’s cord blood and tissue. Kit came quickly, directions were very clear, and when I called to have it picked up after delivery, the courier was there within 15 hours and was very courteous. I highly recommend giving AmeriCord a call if you’re considering cord blood banking (and more).

I have a very positive experience with Americord for my first baby. Their process is simple and easy to follow! Just shortly after I placed my order & filled out all the required documents, they sent out the collection kit with thoroughly instruction and follow-up emails. I did some research and found out their prices are also very competitive!! Highly recommended & I will definitely choose their service again for my next babies 🙂

Americord people are the best. I decided on their service after a bit of a research with other vendors including the fliers from the OBGYN. I felt Americord were less pushy in their marketing and took as their confidence in their work. I am not an expert so won't know how they are better on technology front.

We got an immediate communication as soon as they had the sample. Payment plans are very flexible with an option to chose long term or yearly plan. Helpline is very responsive too.

I had an amazing experience working with Americord. Ordering and receiving my kit was fast and easy. The instructions included were clear and concise. My nurses kept raving that it was one of the easiest collection kits to work with and were impressed with the maternal blood vials that were included (easy to use and quick at extracting the blood). The pick up was easy to schedule and the courier was on time. Working with their Client Service team has been wonderful. Their team has answered any questions we have had and their response time has been very quick. I appreciate the updates and open line of communication. Happy to be doing business with Americord and trusting them with my Baby's stem cell storage.

My experience with Americord is awful. I will keep a long story short, due to current legal situations, and privacy. I was mislead and lied to told by the sales representative. He made medical statements about the use of stem cells, but has no qualifications to do so. I tried to resolve these issues with the company, but they did not return my calls, and when I finally got a hold of someone, once again in sales, they told me sorry I feel mislead, tried to once again provide me with medical advice, but in the end they can not help me. I was not given contact information to whom I was speaking to for the record. I am currently seeking legal council to resolve my issues. Be very weary of the claims Americord makes as they are sales representatives not doctors. You are in fact NOT allowed to cancel no matter what the sales representative says. This company is not interested in remedying the issues. I will update these reviews as the process continues.
