This was my second procedure with TLC and I have to say like last time Doctor Mehta took good care of me. The staff is incredibly friendly and understanding, and they genuinely assisted me in rescheduling appointments. From the moment I reached out until the day of my surgery, they were always there to help. It’s been a month since my surgery on April 5th, and I’m already seeing positive results and feeling much better. Thank you, Doctor Mehta, for always prioritizing my well-being. and I already see results and feel Much better. Thank you, Doctor Mehta For always taking care of me.

From start to finish this was a pleasant experience! Everyone was nice, efficient and kind. I lost my band doctor several years ago and it was comforting to find someone to manage it much less a great bedside manner! Highly recommended!!

I’ve never had such an unprofessional experience with a medical establishment before. I was stood up on two separate appointments. I had a virtual consult scheduled with Dr. Mehta on 3/31. After waiting for 10 minutes at the link, a receptionist finally appeared on screen to check me in. I then proceeded to wait another 20 minutes for Dr. Mehta to NEVER show up.

I understand things happen but I did not have time to waste, so I called the office, explained what was happening (or rather, not happening) and my appointment was rescheduled for 4/14.

Fast forward to the rescheduled appointment. This time, no receptionist ever came on screen to check me in. They instead sent a very dry chat asking for weight and height. That was all. I then proceeded to wait another 30 minutes all for Dr. Mehta to pull the exact same unprofessional stunt he pulled last time. HE NEVER SHOWED!

When I called the office this time, the receptionist offered little in the way of an apology and quickly ended the call. Typically, I wouldn’t leave a review for a doctors office but this is INCREDIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL and people should be aware. I’m now back to square one seeking a surgeon because I would absolutely NEVER let a surgery team with such a lack of respect and professionalism put me under and cut me open. I was so looking forward to my consult and forthcoming procedure but this experience has soured me.

Dr. Yu was the best—kind, knowledgeable, and truly committed to their work. They made me feel heard and valued, which is rare. But the outpatient hospital? Completely unprofessional. They rushed me out too soon, despite me asking to stay longer, and I ended up back in the hospital that same night. That decision cost me thousands in medical bills when it all could have been avoided if they had just slowed down and listened.

Dr. Yu was the best, he listened and provided feed back. He made sure I understood the whole process prior to surgery. The team and been so helpful in answering all my questions. I have been very lucky as I have not had any problems what so ever since my surgery. I have been lossing weight slowly but have lost quite a bit. I am very healthy. I would recommend Dr Yu and his staff at TLC Surgery to others. I am now 9 months out and have lost 83 lbs. I tried and tried to loss the weight but after my hysterectomy at 40 the weight just kept coming on and couldn't loss. This was best thing I did for myself

Very unhappy with the lack patient care and concern by doctor and staff. The push was to have my love one to leave surgery center same day even though he was in severe pain and distress! The common refrain was there will be pain after surgery. Obviously we know this. The average hospital stay for the procedure is 1-3 days. Eventually they agreed to let him stay though the night nurse was less than kind and very off putting. They did not assist with walking. My love one is over 290 pounds. I had to struggle to walk him with IV poll which was a fall hazard. We struggled all night. The next day we were told he would be discharged in a few hours even though he was vomiting and pain level was greater than 7. The night nurse did not report the vomiting to day nurse so when I mentioned it to day nurse she had no idea… The lapse in communication concerning patient care was troubling. I raised concerns and the nurse supervisor came. I was told the procedure is normally a same day and they let us stay overnight as a courtesy!!! The attitude is as if we should be grateful. I’m beyond frustrated and disappointed in the care

When I tell you Texas Laparoscopic Consultants is the way to go, if you are looking for a great facility and doctor to perform your laproscopic procedure, LOOK NO FURTHER...PLEASE LISTEN!! Everyone at TLC is such a joy to work with. Ms.Bobbie, who is a walking billboard for TLC, and is one person that I have dealt with the MOST, here. I have adopted her as my personal counselor (financial, emotional) during this rodeo of mine. She is very patient, kind, very informative, and just an overall helpful angel. I could not have made it without her. Dr. Yu, has performed both of my procedures and I could not be MORE satisfied. Between Dr. Yu and his wonderful staff, you will be glad you chose them. I really loved Dr. Yu and his team they were very helpful and explained everything they were doing and about how long it would all take. I will definitely refer him to any needing surgery done. Most of all he fix my heartburn problem when he did my gastric sleeve surgery. He fixed my hiatal hernia I did not know I had.
