Always fast response and then they even call us back when it's fixed to make sure. We just had a squirrel take out a wire and Butler Electric had it fixed in under an hour. PSE&G and JCP&L can learn a thing or two from them

Just loss power because a tree felt and knocked out our power line, called dispatch and they came over in a short time, they cut the tree and gave us power again.

Excellent response to issues, much improved service over the years. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is information about outages. Web site looks like it's from the 1990s, outage information is only available if you have a Facebook account - which I don't and don't want one. I called about an outage, was transferred, the extension rang, then hung up on me.

I have lived at many locations around the country and I have never had better service than at Butler Electric. I would give them 6 stars if I could. They're responsive, mostly nice people, on time, and (as far as i can tell, being an electronics engineer) skilled at their jobs. Just wanted to say thanks to them for working in storms and other times when you wouldn't want to do it yourself.
Oct. 2021-- I still think Butler Electric is one of the best I've seen in terms of responsive service and caring about the people they serve. It's only sad that all electric utilities can't be this good.

We LOVE the Butler Electric Guys. Nor Rain nor Sleet, nor Snow, or Floods, or cars hitting poles will stop them from immediately responding to an outage. This past weekend We were having a party for about 80 guests. The old transformer in front of our home blew. They were there within 10 minutes of us calling them. While we had to wait for a new transformer they restored temporarily the power so we could have fans AC and Music for our party, as well as water and flushing toilets (with a well no power no water!) They then warned us when they were shutting off, and had a new one in place pretty quicky. The people attending my party were amazed at how quickly they came, and it was a holiday weekend. They have always been there for us, we live in the woods, and have had a few trees come down, and they always arrived within 10-15 minutes and have it as quickly as possible restored. They were here DURIING Hurricane Sandy fixing lines that were down from a fallen tree. The next day they had our lines restored, unfortunately the powere was out everywhere! I just would like to send my appreciation to all the wonderful guys at Butler Electric

Butler Electric is awesome! Earlier this evening, we lost power due to the storm. I called Butler Electric and a PERSON, yes...a real live person, answered the phone. He asked my address and told me there was a problem in my area and that they were on their way to address it. He then asked for my phone number. A couple of hours later, another PERSON, yes...a real live person, called to make sure our power was back on. Now that's service! Why can't all businesses respond like this?

Lack of participation in solar energy program is my only concern. They use 3rd party website for payment processing which is also a bit of a challenge. Other than that service is good. Had one interaction with customer service - which was ok.

With electric heat our bill was still under 100$ these other reviews saying they paid 250$ electric bills must have been using CRAZY amounts of energy.

More than happy to pay this price! and never had issues with Customer service either(yet)
