WARNING DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DOMINION TITLE. Whether you are a buyer, agent, broker or seller!

In March of 2022 we sold our home and had settlement.
In the settlement, they set aside approximately $2400 to pay our township for property taxes. They stated that the township returned the check to them and in June 2022. They issued my ex husband and I $1200,

July 2023. Yes, over almost a year and a half later, they called and stated "they made a mistake" and that money had to be paid back. Without providing any documentation on this!

Yesterday, we receive a summons that they are suing us! How ethical is this? NO WARNING, NO LETTER STATING THIS. NO PHONE CALL. NO ATTEMPT AT PAYMENT. Remember, this is a company suppose to do their due diligence and they failed and to come back at someone 16 months and realize an error their company did is WRONG.

I call to ask as to WHY? and asked if they could support me with documentation on this error. They said, "NO". I ask if payment is made if they would drop the case, they said, "YES". I asked if they could have that in writing. They stated, "NO".

What is also most interesting we are also being sued for more than the amount owed at $3367.79.

This is absolutely ABHORRENT and unethical business practices.

As a warning, I advise you to not use this company for the event they make a mistake and then turn around and sue for that mistake a year and a half later with no follow up or warning, or supporting documentation.
