Last minute we found ourselves without a CPA. We called multiple offices, however Sanjiv Gupta CPA was the only office that said "yes, we can help you". We were given an appointment that same day and had the pleasure of working with Shipra Anand. We were in a panic yet she had such a calm demeanor and assured us that she would be able to complete our taxes in time. She is extremely detailed, proficient in tax law and worked tirelessly on our difficult case. She got it done in record time even though we literally contacted the office at the 11th hour. She went above and beyond by also reviewing our previous tax records and found serious errors made by our previous CPA office. In a short period of time she has not only saved us thousands of dollars for the current tax season but will also help us recover what was lost in the previous years. I do not recommend for any paid consultation for tax planning.
My husband and I had a phone consultation with Sanjiv for future tax planning. Sanjiv was very disrespectful while answering questions, and spent a lot of of the $175/30 min paid consultation time saying things making us feel like our questions were silly. For example, I asked about the implications of whether I can do a 401K->roth rollover in a specific scenario if I am no longer living in the US, and his response was - "What do you mean can you do that? It is your money". Well, if I knew for sure it was possible, why would I ask the question! This is just one example. His responses were dismissive and rude for multiple questions.

I thought we caught him on an off day but I see a similar review from Chetan Manor describing the same experience.

Amazing people to work with! I’ve been filing my taxes with Shipra, and she’s fantastic—super knowledgeable about complex tax rules, like PFIC filing for NRI mutual funds. Only a few CPAs in the country can handle such complicated filings.
