Not enough room for people post TSA. They could easily try to orchestrate a better experience but they don’t seem to care. Literally packed into a room like sardines. I recommend you stay outside of security until you absolutely need to. Probably the worst airport I’ve been in, and my sample size is around 75+ airports. This is in the bottom 2%.

The AlaskaAirlines workers at the airport were very helpful even after a stressful night of being stranded in Sitka.

Very small airport. The waiting area after passing thru TSA is EXTREMELY SMALL with limited seating space

This place gets really packed. Hard to move around. In desperate need of an upgrade.

I've traveled in and out of a lot of Alaskan airports and have never had such a bad experience until recently at this airport. You're huddled into a small room to wait for the airplane. Staff (Anastasia?) was so incredibly rude for no reason. Never in my life of traveling around the world have I been treated so badly.

Pretty good airport, the baggage claim is simple but works and the art around is nice. Only mark is that it can get really crowded sometimes esspecially during sfac.

Single gate, TSA a bit slow, maybe 80 seats in the post-TSA waiting room (not enough for a full 737). Vending machine, water fountain, and bathroom post-TSA. Restaurant pre-TSA. Four commercial flights (in & out) a day.

Arrive early for TSA during summer tourist months...Single lane.. can sometimes take 30 mins... you can still be going through when boarding begins and there are cases where door has closed while people are still in line. Airport due for a major redesign/rebuild in coming year. (2024‐2025?) Single restaurant "The Nugget" occasionally closed... nothing to buy past TSA line. Taxis hard to come by. Plan ahead. Only a few hotels have shuttles. No public bus service still (2023). Long walk into town with bags
