The team at Compassus really embraced my family and supported us through our journey. I cant say enough about the professionalism and compassion that each member showed my family. A special shout out to Crystal who even called on her day off to check on my family member.

The most wonderful service in town. I made use of 2 other services before ending up with Compassus, and Compassus was the best. If I could give 6 stars, I would. I want to thank all of the people at Compassus who helped Maria and I through our last days together ❤️. Know that my words and thoughts are deep with gratitude for what you have given us. Thank you, thank, thank you. From Pat ... and Maria, who has moved onto another place.

It’s a strange situation when doctors formally recommend hospice for your family member, but you’re not QUITE sure what hospice is or what they do.

Things move quickly from there. You’re encouraged to pick a company, knowing next to nothing about the consequences of your decision.

We used Compassus for my mother (referred by the hospital, among other companies) and, a year later, for my father. We were pleased with Compassus. The cost? If your loved one has Medicare, you may not have to pay a dime.

What we learned from the experience is that YOU are the caregiver for your loved one. Hospice is there to guide you through the experience. Their job is to ensure your family members are as comfortable as possible during their passing. To be clear: In hospice, they are not extending life.

The nurses are … well, compassionate. I call them empathy junkies because death is a profound experience, and no one can help but be overwhelmed.

Anyway. Our experience was good, BOTH times. I suspect some of the negative reviews here are because they might be emotionally distraught, or didn’t understand that, in a time of passing, YOU are working too.

Recommended by hospital. My mom’s/our familie’s journey with hospice began at our Mothers home. She didn’t want to pass away at home so we transferred her to Cordera. .From day one we were basically on our own. Nobody from Compassus or Cordera ever explained the processes for admission & or what follows for who does or handles what! My family has been doing for our mom & advocating/making needed inquiries and both entities are playing the blame game. Meanwhile our mother is actively dying. No communication from case manger at a time of need for a family really makes the other staff that did a good job look bad. We would not recommend Compassus Hospice! .They need to get their stuff together. Sincerely , alone and confused

My experience with Compassus and the staff was excellent. I became the caretaker for my 98-year-old father in August. We were introduced to Compassus and they were by my side until my dad passed in September. I wouldn't have been able to navigate through the maze of his illness (dementia) without their guidance. I would highly recommend Compassus to any patient or family dealing with the end of life.

At one of the worst times of your life, they are the most compassionate people I have ever dealt with. No question was left unanswered...the people that worked with my Mom were gentle, kind, and patient with her. She was only in Hospice for a little less than two weeks, but they made them comfortable. Most appreciate the support and telling me I was doing great when I was so unsure at times. Anyone with questions, I'd be happy to answer...From initial contact with Nate, to nurses like Jessica, Betsy and Paula...Shandra, the CNA was SO gentle with my Momma at bath time...I will be thankful forever. You are all doing a wonderful service and I hope you know that...Thank you, from the bottom of my heart! Dejah

This company is a joke, although the nursing staff is great. (Special Shout out to Crystal, she truly cares for her patients, I will miss her) The office team tells you whatever sounds good to get the patient moved. I've been working with them 1 week today, and it's been nothing but lies and incompetence. I would NEVER recommend this company! They have made the Hospice move a nightmare.

Our family really appreciates how consistent everyone is at this company. From the office staff to the nurses and caregivers. Compassion is there true calling. My grandmother has been on Hospice at home in our care for going on 7mos. It can be overwhelming at times and they are always there to support us. Thank you doesn't begin to express our gratitude from our entire family. I have been a licensed CNA and I would work with them or for them in a heartbeat and trust them with my loved ones.
