I have been going there for about 5 years and Dr Liz has been wonderful, all though I never see her for my regular appointments. I have seen Maureen every time and unfortunately she is not very personable. I have heard the back office staff make comments about her attitude. This tells you a lot about how she treats the office staff as well. I was having stomach issues last year, I had been to the emergency department and they suggested I get tested for SIBO and H. Pylori. Maureen gave me such a hard time when I suggested to be tested for SIBO, I understand they have to tell you the cons and pros of every test. But at the end it should be my choice as I don't know what else to do for the constant pain and bloating. She gave me a smirk and said that she would do it so that I would not give her a Bad Review. That was so unprofessional and very disconcerting. I never give reviews and that was never on my mind. Dr Liz, you have been wonderful, but I think it's time you talk to Maureen about her customer service and how she talks to the patients. It's taking me so long to write a review because to this day it still bothers me.

Would Not recommend, my appointment was at 11am and had to be there at 10:30 to do paper work. Literally took me 10 minutes to do my paperwork and give ID and Insurance Card. I drive all the way from scottsdale to this place because I was recommend. I showed up 10 minutes late because of an accident on the road. I show up at 10:40, after I give my info they look up and tell me I have to reschedule because I was 10 minutes late. They give no leeway. I finished the paperwork before 11 my initial time and still had to reschedule. I did explain there was an accident getting here. Now I have to wait until December. Would NOT recommend, if the staff is not understanding for situations like this and undermine your situations not worth it. This was my first time here, first impressions are everything. Highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Responding to your reply. I finished before my initial time at 11. Don't see why I could of just gone through if I finished? Please explain why?

I wish I could leave a zero. My experience with Dr Liz Cruz’s staff. I made a call to Ray to reschedule my one year follow up. Ray called back. Ray stated that he would reschedule my appointment, but if I wasn’t happy with the second provider, then I could just leave and find another upper G.I. doctor. I accepted the appointment. I called Ray back and told him I would not be coming back as wasn’t going to be a burden to him or Maureen. No one ever bothered to ask me if there was an issue or why I wanted another provider. Today I get a discharge letter from Dr. Liz Cruz. Never met her, she never bothered to reach out to me! But now this letter, please what a waste of my time snd yours. Letter states I’m being discharged from her office, sorry to disappoint I had already stated I was never returning to your office. The purpose of this letter was pure harassment and getting in the last word. Rude and unhelpful people yet I never complained. On my first visit, the priority was for me to buy supplements. They didn’t even care about my health concerns. Maureen was rude from the beginning then knowing that I use cannabis for sleep seemed to make her want to be more rude to me! She proceeded to blame the cannabis for my health issues. Yet I never complained. Maureen sent me out for tests when I came back for the second results. She said I was fine and that I have Barrett’s esophagus she said it’s precancerous but not cancer gave me a pamphlet said make an appointment for a year and sent me on my way. I wasn’t asked if I had questions or concerns, she couldn’t leave the room fast enough. I spent more time in the waiting room than I did getting my results. I’m sorry I was ever referred here.

Waited 6 months for an appointment. When I finally got to see the doctor I was told nothing will be done for my discomfort unless I do their procedure and pay almost $2000 upfront in professional fees. I also was charged for that visit which just a wasted trip to do a bunch of questions with no results.

Highly recommend this office, my provider is Raquel, she is really great! And a shout out to Maria, any time I have questions or concerns, I leave a message and Maria is always so amazing to get back to me the same day with answers!! They truly care about their patients!!

I had a colonoscopy with Dr Cruz and let me tell you how amazing she is how gentle she is and how she is really genuinely cares for your health. As a cancer fighter she has been a beacon of my encouragement to get well and better she understands exactly what people need and she is very compassionate understanding and very knowledgeable in her skills she is one of the best doctors I have ever met her office is amazing all her stuff is wonderful and I would highly recommend her to everybody to come to her office. I know I had a little hiccup but this is what happens with people who have had cancer and radiation she did everything in her power to make sure that I was good and I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart.

I called to reschedule an appointment the scheduler Ray asked if I could come in tomorrow at 1:30 after lunch I told him I’ll verify and give him a call. A few hours later I called back to reschedule my appointment and said “I’ll take the appointment for tomorrow at 1:30pm” he said great see you tomorrow. He also rushed to get you scheduled and when I was on the phone I could hear people laughing and talking. I get there and I find out he did not book my appointment correctly and had it for the following Tuesday. I did not know tomorrow meant Tuesday especially since I called on a Wednesday. I get there and the front office girl says I don’t have an appointment and I’m not scheduled. She was rude and offered no solutions. I had called off work to be there. It was just reading off some results and I came in earlier. She just printed my results and expects me to know everything on the documents without Provider guidance. The manager replying to these reviews is also very snotty and knows NOTHING on patient satisfaction. Its so sad because the Doctor is actually very nice and experience but her staff is horrible. Patient service is horrible go to a place where they actually enjoy their job these people are miserable. BTW Tina is a liar and not trustworthy I have only been a patient for a couple of months not years.

What type of doctor do you have to be to not allow a family member to go in with the patient? Never had other doctors deny a spouse entering with the patient.
I find this offensive and ridiculous.

Also, on the first visit don’t expect to see this half-witted doctor. Oh no, you only meet with a NURSE PRACTITIONER the first time (if only they would’ve charged me accordingly since this is not a real doctor I met with!). Obviously, Dr. Elizabeth (liz) Cruz is doing this to get more money from patients, having me come back a second time so that I MAY request an examination by
“thou eminence.” Who does this inane doctor think she is?

I feel beyond upset. This is not a real gastroenterologist, but a lucrative practice that focuses on money-making instead of helping patients.
